Systems Application Engineer
Seagate Technology
• Collaborate with customers to define their product requirements and goals and champion those back into the organization. • Work with presales on integration and implementation process for a customer and ensure the development plan is in sync. • Lead process between customer and development to define goals of product releases. • Champion any integration or field issues brought up by customers development team. • Communicate the issue and state between customer and development. • Work with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems. • Stay current with emerging storage technologies and industry trends.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in customer facing, systems engineering or technical support roles.
- Understanding of storage protocols including SAS, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, and Fibre Channel.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud storage solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field (i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, or Information Technology).
