Responsibilities - Identify and establish relationships with new and existing shippers and carriers. - Negotiate freight rates and contracts to maximize profitability. - Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. - Maintain detailed records of shipments, contracts, and communications. - Resolve any issues or delays in freight transportation promptly. - Develop and implement strategies to expand your freight brokerage business. - Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Qualifications - Proven experience as a freight broker or independent freight agent. - Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics industry standards and regulations. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and manage your own client portfolio effectively. - Familiarity with freight management software and online load boards. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Valid freight broker license or relevant certifications are preferred. Requirements - At least one active shipper customer with consistent load activity. - 6+ months Independent Freight Agent experience OR 2+ years logistics sales and dispatch experience. - Strong sales mindset with the ability to grow a book of business. - Professional communication skills and consistent follow-through. - Ability to operate as a 1099 contractor. - U.S.-based professional moving freight within U.S., Canada, and Mexico lanes.
