Application Architect
Pierce Washington
• Serve as a mentor and technical resource to Pierce Washington software engineers in the implementation of their projects. • Lead implementation of the solutions across all layers of the technology stack, including front-end DOM, CPQ application platform, webservices, HTTP protocols, network security and user authentication layers. • Translate business and technical requirements into an overall solution that is robust, scalable, and extensible. • Conduct performance tuning and diagnose/resolve obscure technical compatibility issues. • Proactively anticipate technical risks and design/implement error handling and other mitigation techniques to ensure system stability and security. • Improve best practices in terms of code architecture, unit testing, database, and technical designs available to the Pierce Washington engineering team. • Perform quality assurance on large projects, including areas of estimations, design, architecture, and coding. • Participate in and prototyping broader product designs going across modules and projects. • Suggest and implement third party libraries and software in the product. • Responsible for overall performance and scalability of delivered applications and projects.
Job Requirements
- Experience implementing enterprise solutions supporting Quote to Cash business processes, including CPQ and eCommerce implementations.
- Experience in cloud-based enterprise application implementations such as Salesforce, Oracle CPQ, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
- Deep hands-on integration experience with a variety of tools and technologies, including integration methods and middlewares used in a variety of enterprise applications, CRM, and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of the data models used in various enterprise applications relating to quoting, ordering, and CRM.
- Understanding of the systems development life cycle, including experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies
- Expertise in the following technologies: jQuery, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Python, XSLT, XPATH, CSS, HTTP, REST, SOAP, JSON and relational database concepts & SQL.
- Working knowledge of web application frameworks like React, Vue, Angular a plus.
- Seven years of professional experience required; excellent hands-on software development skills.
- Previous consulting experience is a plus.
- Ability to meet client travel requirements as needed.
- Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics from a reputable four-year university.

• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale storage systems • Design and optimize distributed systems • Drive innovation in storage technologies • Collaborate with product managers and other engineers • Mentor senior and junior engineers • Troubleshoot complex production issues • Contribute to open-source projects • Stay current with industry trends
