Job Description
Trust and Safety Senior Specialist
Artsy
Title: Trust & Safety Senior Specialist Location: New York Employment Type Full time Location Type Hybrid Department AMPMarketplace Strategy & OperationsMarketplace Integrity OverviewApplication Artsy's Trust & Safety team sits at the intersection of risk, operations, and commerce — responsible for protecting the integrity of every transaction and interaction on the platform. We're a small, high-ownership team. As a Trust & Safety, Senior Specialist you will own our most complex fraud, dispute, and verification cases, and be a key driver of the processes and improvements behind them. You'll carry your own caseload across fraud investigations, disputes, and chargebacks, and lead key projects that support broader company success. You'll drive quality and consistency across day-to-day case management, while helping maintain and improve team KPIs that reflect the efficiency of our operations and the experience of every user. This is an individual contributor role suited for someone who thrives at the intersection of hands-on investigation and driving broader improvements across Trust & Safety. What you’ll do: - Address user issues related to security incidents, unauthorized account activity, and other suspicious events — acting as the senior point of contact for complex or escalated cases - Monitor transaction and auction activities to identify and address potential fraud - Resolve post-sale disputes involving claims of authenticity, damage, and description inaccuracies - Manage the end-to-end chargeback process, from evidence gathering to submission - Enforce Artsy's Trust & Safety policies with consistency and sound judgment, escalating or adapting where edge cases require it - Perform KYC and AML verifications for Artsy users - Manage outreach to sellers with failed or unpaid subscription charges, ensuring timely resolution - Collaborate with internal teams — including Legal, Product and Marketplace — on the development and ongoing enforcement of Trust & Safety policies - Drive Trust & Safety initiatives across the business, identifying opportunities to improve processes and close risk gaps This role is a fit for you if: - Experience in fraud, disputes, or trust & safety - You're comfortable making tough, ambiguous calls and standing behind them - You're highly organised and can manage a varied caseload - You're comfortable working with data and using it to identify trends and inform decisions - You have experience with KYC and AML verification processes - You know how to work cross-functionally and influence teams outside of your own - You're comfortable in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment where the playbook isn't always written yet - You can communicate complex risk decisions clearly to stakeholders This role is unlikely to be a good match for you if you… - Prefer clear-cut cases — much of this work involves ambiguity, competing priorities, and judgment calls without an obvious right answer - Are uncomfortable with using data to spot trends - Find it difficult to make and defend a decision when the evidence isn't black and white - Struggle to give or receive tough feedback, including holding yourself and others to clear performance standards We know no one is a perfect match on paper, so if you’re passionate about this role, please apply! We’re excited to learn how your skills, experiences, and insights could make a difference. What success looks like in your first 3-6 months: - Fully ramped on Artsy’s policies, tools, and case types — handling complex fraud, dispute, and verification cases independently - Spotting gaps in processes or the user experience and making recommendations on what to change - Building relationships with cross-collaborators (Product, Legal, Marketplace, Sales) - Team KPIs are being tracked consistently and feeding back on where performance is strong and where it isn't What We Offer: - Opportunity to reimagine the art industry while working with a talented, diverse, international team. - Competitive salary and equity - Flexible time off: our culture of trust and empowerment allows employees to take the time they need away from work while still excelling in their roles - We are a global hybrid team: most employees work from our NYC, London, or Berlin offices 2-3 days per week. (In-person expectations vary by role) - Comprehensive healthcare & benefit options, including: medical, dental, parental leave, short- and long-term disability, Employee Assistance Program featuring free mental health support, 401k, commuter benefits, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), financial wellness support & resources, and more - Professional development, including: mentoring, lunch & learns, regular training, 1:1 management, and an open feedback culture - Engaging opportunities and internal programming globally, to foster new relationships and build upon our collaborative community. Including: happy hours, holiday parties, global "All Hands" meetings, "Artsy Salon" (a yearly exhibition of our team's creativity), attendance to art world events, and more The salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000 annually. Artsy is committed to equitable compensation practices, and your offer will depend on the relevant experience and skillset you bring to the team. All compensation packages include meaningful Artsy equity and competitive health benefits. Please see our “What We Offer” above for more detail, or speak to our Talent Acquisition Team to learn more! Please note that we do not accept applications sent by email. You should submit your application directly through our careers website! Artsy Values Artsy has five core values that will inform your experience at Artsy. Senior PPC Specialist Madrid; Prague Groupon is a marketplace where customers discover new experiences and services everyday and local businesses thrive. To date we have worked with over a million merchant partners worldwide, connecting over 16 million customers with deals across various categories. In a world often dominated by e-commerce giants, we stand out as one of the few platforms uniquely committed to helping local businesses succeed on a performance basis. Groupon is on a radical journey to transform our business with relentless pursuit of results. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success. The impact here can be immediate due to our scale and the speed of our transformation. We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have the resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. 📍 Location: Prague or Madrid (Hybrid working model) We’re looking for a Senior PPC Specialist who will take ownership of Google Ads performance at scale and help us move beyond traditional PPC into an automated, system-driven performance setup. 💻 What you’ll do You will own and scale Google Ads performance across international markets, managing significant budgets and building more automated, efficient ways of working. Core responsibilities: - Own Google Ads performance (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Hotel Ads, DSA) - Manage and optimize large-scale budgets with strong focus on business outcomes (ROAS, CAC, margin, LTV) - Improve and scale account structures across multiple international markets - Work on automation and system improvements using code and APIs - Help transition performance setup towards more AI-driven and automated workflows - Identify growth opportunities across markets and campaigns - Collaborate closely with analytics and growth teams 🤖 How this role is different This is not a “classic PPC specialist” role. We are moving towards a setup where: - campaign management is increasingly automated - performance decisions are driven by data and systems - manual optimization is only a small part of the job We are looking for someone who: - thinks in systems, not just campaigns - understands how to scale performance efficiently at high budgets - is open to working with automation, APIs, and AI tools - challenges standard PPC approaches when needed 💪 What we’re looking for - Senior experience in Google Ads (ownership of accounts, not just execution) - Experience with large budgets (hundreds of thousands € monthly or more) - Strong understanding of e-commerce or marketplace performance marketing - Ability to connect performance metrics with business impact - Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving - Hands-on experience with AI tools, automation workflows, or AI-driven marketing systems This role is not for you if - You want a purely execution-focused PPC role - You prefer manual campaign optimization as your main work - You don’t want to work with automation, APIs, or technical topics - You’ve only worked with small or mid-size budgets - You are not comfortable in a fast-paced, high-change environment where priorities can shift quickly and expectations are high on speed and ownership 💚 Why Groupon - You’ll work on Google Ads at true scale across international markets - Performance marketing here is evolving from manual PPC execution into automated, system-driven growth - You’ll be part of a shift toward AI-enabled workflows and smarter, more efficient ways of managing performance - High budget ownership with direct impact on business outcomes (not just platform metrics) - Opportunity to help shape how performance marketing is done, not just execute existing processes - Fast-moving environment where decisions are driven by data, impact, and speed rather than rigid structure
