As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the network's security, performance, and scalability to meet the evolving needs of the organization. - Design, implement, and manage the organization’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers. - Lead the planning, configuration, and optimization of network systems, ensuring high availability and scalability. - Troubleshoot network issues and provide root cause analysis, resolving incidents in a timely manner. - Collaborate with system administrators, security teams, and other departments to integrate network solutions with the organization's systems. - Perform regular network performance monitoring and conduct capacity planning to ensure the network can handle growing demands. - Implement and enforce network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. - Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration templates, and policies. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers, assisting with troubleshooting and professional development. - Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually improve network architecture and security. - Manage and optimize the use of cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) where applicable. - Ensure network compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. - Provide on-call support and perform network upgrades or maintenance as required. Qualifications - Master’s degree with 6 years of experience (or Bachelors with 8 years of experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or relevant field. - Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. - Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.). - Extensive experience with enterprise-level routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies. - Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.). - Experience with cloud networking services and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting) is a plus. - Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or similar are highly preferred. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of network security best practices and experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies. - Experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, and WAN optimization is a plus. Requirements - Advanced certifications (e.g., Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE, or similar). - Experience with network automation and orchestration frameworks. - Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks. - Experience in working with remote and distributed teams.
