• Build and customize Shopify Plus 2.0 themes from scratch — not just edit existing ones • Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, high-performing storefronts • Explain your technical decisions clearly to clients and project managers in plain English • Manage code via GitHub in a multi-developer agency environment • Work US time zones (EST–PST) with fast, consistent communication across Slack, Gmail, and ClickUp • Code Shopify Plus 2.0 Liquid themes from scratch and using the Dawn base theme • Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect Shopify Plus templates • Build and optimize landing pages from Figma files and existing templates • Optimize site speed against Google Core Web Vitals benchmarks • Configure GA4, Google Ads tracking, and GTM within Shopify and Shopify Checkout • Configure Shopify Plus admin settings: discounts, shipping rules, scripts, and functions • Customize Shopify Plus Checkout using Checkout Extensibility and Functions • Build custom collection filters using Tags, Metafields, and Metaobjects • Implement and configure advanced Shopify apps (ReBuy, Yotpo, SYWM, etc.) • Build SEO-optimized page templates with correct heading structure, canonical tags, and noindex logic • Implement ADA-compliant fixes and templates based on PM direction • Stay current on Shopify Plus releases: Checkout Extensibility, Functions, Markets
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of Shopify Plus development for DTC brands (brands in the $10M–$50M revenue range strongly preferred)
- Proven experience building and owning Shopify Plus 2.0 themes — not just theme edits
- GitHub-based theme version control in an agency setting
- Prior experience at a Shopify-focused development agency
- Strong written and spoken English — this will be tested, not just listed
- Able to explain code and technical decisions to non-developers clearly and concisely
- Responds to Slack and ClickUp messages promptly with context, not just "ok"
- Comfortable presenting work on live client calls without a script
- Available during US business hours — EST/CST/MST preferred; PST coverage from 8am–5pm is ideal
- Responsive and consistent — we notice when developers go quiet.
