Job Description

HR Generalist

Aardy

• Assist HR Manager with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding. • Assist HR Manager with all employee relations. • Assist HR Manager with policies and procedures creation, management, and enforcement. • Assist HR Manager with benefits administration and audits. • Assist HR Manager in all compliance related to payroll, HR, benefits, and federal/state employment law. • Assist HR Manager with employee culture and morale. • Assist HR Manger with proper recordkeeping and documentation. • Assist HR Manager with maintaining and updating our HRIS and payroll system (Paylocity). • Provide leadership for the HR Department in the absence of the HR Manager. • Process payroll in HR Manager’s absence. • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. • Ad hoc report requests. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) year of experiences as an HR Generalist.
  • Experience in a comparable or senior role is acceptable.
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a 100% remote-based position.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification required or obtained within six months of hire.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Strong foundational knowledge and understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience with at least one HRIS/payroll system i.e. Paylocity, Gusto, Paychex, ADP, etc.
  • Must have experience working with payroll related tax agencies and understand how they work.
  • Computer literate with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to navigate basic software programs such as Slack, Zoom, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must have a strong command of the English language (verbal and written) as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain appropriate and effective relationships in the workplace.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to learn new systems, skills, and tasks quickly.
  • Must have and maintain high speed Internet. Minimum speed of 100 Mbps download, 25 Mbps upload, and a latency <=50ms.
  • Preferred, but not mandatory: Experience with Paylocity.
  • Early riser/morning person.
  • Two or four-year degree in human resource management, business administration, or another related field.
