Quality Assurance Analyst
Air Apps
• Perform smoke testing and regression testing to validate new releases and feature updates. • Execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications. • Identify, document, and report bugs clearly and accurately. • Support bug triage processes by collaborating with developers and product teams. • Use test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray to manage and track test cases. • Work with project management tools like Jira or Asana to log issues and monitor progress. • Validate functionality across different browsers and mobile devices. • Use basic browser developer tools to inspect elements, monitor requests, and support troubleshooting. • Contribute to improving QA processes and documentation standards.
Job Requirements
- Around 1–3+ years of experience in manual software testing or a similar QA role.
- Solid understanding of testing concepts such as smoke testing, regression testing, and structured bug reporting.
- Experience using at least one test management tool (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray).
- Experience working with project management tools such as Jira or Asana.
- Exposure to testing across different browsers and mobile devices.
- Basic understanding of browser developer tools.
- Clear communication skills and attention to detail.
- Nice to Have: Familiarity with mobile and web application testing best practices.
- Nice to Have: Experience executing detailed test cases and maintaining test documentation.
- Nice to Have: Experience with bug reporting and participating in bug triage discussions.
- Nice to Have: Basic familiarity with JSON structures and HTML.

Role Description Surrey Place is seeking a detail-oriented student to join our team as a Quality Assurance Officer. In this entry-level role, you will work side-by-side with our team of developers to ensure our digital products are accessible, user-friendly, and function flawlessly. This is a learning-intensive role where your classroom knowledge of accessibility standards, user experience (UX) principles, and testing methodologies will be applied in a real-world setting. Prior industry experience is not required but an asset. Main Responsibilities - Perform accessibility testing against WCAG 2.1 guidelines, conduct screen reader walkthroughs, keyboard-only navigation audits, and document remediation steps with severity and recommended fixes for engineering. - Conduct A/B and multivariate experiment analyses in partnership with Dev teams to validate design hypotheses, set up experiment instrumentation, and measure impact on conversion, retention, and key UX metrics. - Participate in user feedback sessions, internal product discussions, and design critiques. - Support responsive design efforts to ensure optimal user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. - Assist in conducting UX research to understand user needs and behaviors. Qualifications - Post-secondary education is preferred. - A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Information Systems, Software Development, Web Development, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. - Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet assigned deadlines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Ability to obtain and maintain an acceptable Police Records Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening. - Fluency in French is considered an asset.
