Director, IT Operations

• Leading and developing managers, engineers, analysts, and support personnel across distributed systems operations. • Ensuring 24/7 operational coverage and maintaining high availability of infrastructure, systems, and related technology components. • Establishing and maintaining operating procedures, escalation paths, and shift coverage models to support seamless operations. • Overseeing real-time system monitoring and responding to alerts, outages, and performance issues with urgency and accuracy. • Partnering with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve incidents and manage change activities. • Maintaining detailed operational documentation and support processes for critical systems. • Reviewing and analyzing KPIs, performance metrics, and incident trends to drive continuous improvement. • Leading automation initiatives, enhancing monitoring capabilities, and strengthening team training programs. • Ensuring adherence to ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management best practices.
Job Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience.
- Bring 5+ years of IT infrastructure operations experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrate strong experience supporting Windows and Linux distributed systems, including advanced troubleshooting expertise.
- Utilize monitoring and alerting tools such as SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar platforms.
- Apply knowledge of incident response and change management frameworks.
- Communicate effectively while leading teams and making sound operational decisions.
- Perform successfully in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Obtain ITIL certification and/or relevant platform certifications (MCSE, CCNA, etc.).
- Work with cloud or hybrid-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud).
- Use scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Ansible.
