As a Forward Deployed Accountant (FDA), you’ll lead the deployment of FloQast’s Transform AI Agents for corporate customers, helping them automate core accounting workflows and improve operational efficiency. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their processes, configure automation solutions, and deliver tangible outcomes. This is a customer-facing role for accounting professionals who are eager to apply their domain knowledge in a technical setting and grow their skills at the intersection of finance and AI-powered automation. *Visa sponsorship is NOT available at this time This is a remote position, but candidates MUST be based in the Bay Area. What You'll Do: - Build and deploy AI Agents that automate low to medium-complexity accounting workflows for corporate accounting teams, ensuring accurate configuration, testing, and documentation. - Enable corporate accounting teams to build and deploy AI Agents by delivering structured training, hands-on workshops, guided build sessions, and office hours, while supporting customers in identifying automation opportunities, assessing use case feasibility, and use case scoping. - Accelerate adoption across corporate accounting teams by leading enablement sessions and ongoing coaching that help users build confidence in designing, deploying, and maintaining their own AI Agents. - Perform basic troubleshooting by reviewing Agent configurations, validating inputs and outputs, and coordinating escalation with technical or integration resources as needed. - Support product improvement by sharing customer feedback and observations, participating in feature testing, and identifying usability gaps or enhancement opportunities. - Guide partner-led implementations by working closely with partner consultants, ensuring adherence to internal delivery guidelines, and delivering training to develop partner proficiency. - Travel as needed (up to 30%) to customer sites for hands-on deployment, training, and adoption workshops. - Lead internal enablement sessions by training team members on Transform’s Agent-building tools, sharing technical best practices, and equipping them to confidently support customers in building and deploying AI Agents. What You'll Bring: - 2–4 years of experience in accounting, audit, or accounting operations roles, with strong familiarity with core workflows such as reconciliations, journal entries, variance reviews, and month-end close activities. - Background in accounting required, CPA preferred. Experience in public accounting, audit, or corporate accounting is strongly preferred. - Familiarity with workflow automation, system optimization, or technology-enabled accounting processes. - Familiarity with data-flow, API, and integration concepts commonly used in accounting system. - Strong communication skills to lead training sessions, workshops, and guided build sessions with corporate accounting teams. - Ability to break down complex accounting processes and convert them into structured automation steps - Strong organizational skills to manage training schedules, documentation, and customer enablement activities. - Willingness to travel for corporate customer training, workshops, and enablement engagements. Nice to Haves: - CPA or degree in Accounting or Finance - Experience in Professional Services, Finance Transformation, or Process Optimization, ideally serving accounting or audit functions. - Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics) and accounting close processes - Familiarity with AI or automation platforms: LLM-based agents, RPA tools (e.g., UiPath), or AI workflow builders - Previous roles similar to Forward Deployed Engineer, Resident Consultant, or Embedded Solutions Architect - Experience designing or maintaining SQL-based reporting, and configuring API integrations between finance or operational systems - Strong business acumen with the ability to translate accounting/operational requirements into scalable technical workflows - Background in SaaS platforms focused on finance transformation, compliance, or accounting automation The base pay range for this position is $89,600 - $134,000. This position is eligible for a bonus plan in addition to base pay. Compensation is not limited to base salary.
