Business Development Manager – IT Staffing
PHIZENIX
• Identify and open net-new client relationships across technology, semiconductor, and enterprise sectors. • Sell IT staffing and workforce solutions (contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire) targeting $2M–$5M deal values • Navigate and win within MSP/VMS-managed programs (Fieldglass, Beeline, Wand, IQN) • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through cold calls, networking, and referrals • Collaborate with Phizenix recruiting teams to ensure delivery quality and client satisfaction • Manage the full sales cycle: discovery, proposal, negotiation, close, and account growth • Meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience in IT staffing
- Proven track record of acquiring new logos and growing accounts to $2M–$5M+
- Hands-on experience working within MSP environments and VMS platforms
- Established network of hiring managers, procurement leads, or CXO contacts in the Bay Area
- Experience selling to Silicon Valley clients (tech, SaaS, semiconductor, or enterprise)
- Strong hunter mentality with the ability to generate leads independently
- Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

• Advance Habitat’s partnerships strategy through partner- and state-specific market research, including contribution to partner membership analyses and opportunity briefs/memos • Support business development cycles with potential partners, including creation of partner-specific presentation materials and financial analyses and partner project management • Support partner implementation and partner success efforts, including stakeholder management, metrics/KPI tracking, escalation of risks, partner expansion strategy, and more • Contribute to inorganic growth efforts, including assessment of potential targets and cross-functional collaboration with relevant teams (e.g., strategic finance) • Enable strategic projects to support key enterprise growth initiatives on an as-needed basis • Bring a flexible, “roll up your sleeves” mindset and an ability to own strategic business problems and structure ambiguity
