Practice Management Accountant

• Compile amounts owed to a client and input figures into the accounting system • Maintain up-to-date billing system and generate/send out invoices • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, and credits/collections are applied • Perform daily cash management duties, including recording of bank deposits and updating cash receipt logs • Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R for management • Respond to inquiries from customers/clients and research/resolves concerns or discrepancies • Support other accounting and finance team members • Compliance with applicable healthcare and security regulations
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-4 years in healthcare finance, accounting, treasury, or related field
- In-depth understanding of the field's concepts and principles
- Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies
- Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner
- Strong knowledge in accounting and/or finance
- Strong knowledge of Outlook and Great Plains software or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning software

• Reviewing accounting activities and preparing month-end journal entries to accurately reflect business operations • Preparing Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurate and complete • Reviewing OPEX & COGS activities and preparing monthly expense variance analysis • Assisting with preparing Balance Sheet & P&L flux analysis for monthly CFO close meetings • Assisting in quarterly and annual audits as required
