Lead, IT Architecture

• Lead the architecture, scalability, and availability of our digital engineering application ecosystem spanning software, systems, electrical, and mechanical engineering disciplines. • Drive enterprise-scale deployments of “gold tier” engineering applications. • Enable secure external collaboration and AI capabilities across our engineering tools. • Provide technical and architectural guidance to support the portfolio strategy and multi-year roadmap. • Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, scalability, security, and compliance requirements. • Collaborate with portfolio owners to validate feasibility of roadmap initiatives, identify technical dependencies, and define architecture patterns for consolidation, modernization, and integration across engineering disciplines. • Establish reference architectures and patterns for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid deployments (e.g., Azure/AWS). • Drive adoption of Digital Thread principles. • Support MBSE enablement by architecting integrations between modeling tools and downstream systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • 8–12+ years in solutions/enterprise architecture or senior engineering roles supporting digital engineering tools across software, systems, electrical, and/or mechanical domains.
  • Proven experience designing HA/DR architectures and scaling enterprise applications in on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Strong grounding in networking, identity, data security, and compliance for engineering data.
  • Hands-on IaC/automation and CI/CD experience; proficiency in architecture documentation and stakeholder communication.
  • Familiarity with Digital Thread concepts and MBSE methodologies.
