Job Description

Senior Web Development Manager

Acoustic

• Take ownership of the in-progress Sanity CMS implementation and Next.js codebase from the current agency, completing the migration and establishing development standards • Serve as the sole technical owner of acoustic.com – architecture, implementation, performance, and evolution • Manage Vercel deployments, pipeline configuration, preview environments, and edge functions • Own Core Web Vitals and site performance as a standing priority, not a one-time project • Design and maintain Sanity schemas, content models, and editorial workflows that empower non-technical team members to publish without developer dependency • Partner closely with the Designer and Content team to translate creative and editorial needs into scalable build specs • Build and maintain reusable Next.js component libraries that accelerate future development • Partner with our SEO agency to receive strategic direction on technical requirements, then own the implementation end-to-end • Execute technical SEO infrastructure: crawlability, indexing, structured data, site architecture, page speed, and redirect management • Serve as the technical bridge between SEO strategy and site performance, ensuring recommendations actually ship • Own the technical integrations that power our GTM stack – analytics, personalization tooling, marketing automation, and product demo platforms (Arcade) • Maintain integration health and troubleshoot issues across connected systems • Build and deploy AI agents using Claude to handle repeatable development tasks – content publishing workflows, component scaffolding, regression testing, dependency updates • Continuously evaluate how to deepen your use of Claude across the development lifecycle – Acoustic runs a robust Claude implementation with full support and resources to build, experiment, and scale • Operate as a multiplied team of one: the expectation is high output with intentional use of automation, not simply hard work

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on Sanity CMS experience – schema design, GROQ queries, content modeling in production environments
  • Next.js proficiency, App Router preferred
  • Vercel – deployments, preview environments, edge functions
  • Demonstrated AI-augmented development practice with experience building agents and automation – Acoustic is a Claude shop with a robust implementation; you’ll have full access and support to push it as far as it can go
  • A portfolio of shipped production marketing websites – you can point to real work
  • Strong Plus: Experience taking over from an agency mid-engagement
  • TypeScript
  • Experience with A/B testing or personalization tooling at the infrastructure layer
  • Comfort operating without a dedicated QA function
  • Familiarity with headless CMS architecture at scale
