Role Description DLS Engineering (DLS) is seeking a full-time, remote Configuration Manager (Junior) in support of the United States Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC). The Communications Product Line (COMPL) is part of C5ISC and provides sustainment and sustainment engineering support for a variety of communications systems located along all United States coastlines and navigable waterways. This support includes maintaining system requirements and system performance levels as part of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) phase of the system lifecycles associated with the following C5ISC systems: - Rescue 21 (R21) VHF Communication and Direction Finding including the following variants: - R21 Coastal - R21 Western Rivers - R21 Alaska - VHF/UHF and HF communications - MILSATCOM - Integrated Communications Systems Professional sustainment support services include, but are not limited to: - Project/program support - Supply and inventory management - Configuration management - Technical data management - Property management - Logistics analysis - Engineering analysis A day in the life: - Develop, implement, execute, and maintain the Configuration Management Plan for C5ISC product lines. - Perform configuration identification of components, subsystems, systems, software, and higher-level assemblies (HLA’s). - Manage, maintain, and update configurations of components, subsystems, systems, software, and HLA’s. - Update the Communications Product Line Configuration Manager and designated system engineers on the status of proposed configuration changes. - Record and report implementation status of approved changes. - Monitor and assist with enforcement of the configuration change process. - Update all databases relevant to equipment configuration and technical documentation. - Perform internal and support independent configuration audits. - Process up to 5 contractor provided physical configuration audits weekly. - Perform up to 100 independent physical configuration audits (PCA’s) annually. Qualifications - Must be a United States Citizen - A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate business or technical discipline, or equivalent field experience is required. - A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the development and maintenance of management plans, processes, and systems. - Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 2016 applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Visio, and SharePoint). - Familiarity with government personal and real property management concepts, policy, procedures, and tools. - Familiarity with government configuration management (CM), technical data management (TDM), and product line management (PLM) concepts. - Familiarity with government logistics lifecycle engineering processes. - Familiarity with government inventory management and accounting systems. - Familiarity with industry, Coast Guard, and C5ISC obsolescence management. Qualifications - Must be a United States Citizen - Must have 10 years of experience in the following programs: FLS, NESSS, WEBFLIS, FEDLOG, SFLC CENTRAL, SharePoint, and TEAMS. - A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in appropriate business or technical discipline, or equivalent field experience is required. - A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the development and maintenance of management plans, processes, and systems. - Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 2016 applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Visio, and SharePoint). - Familiarity with government personal and real property management concepts, policy, procedures, and tools including Oracle Fixed Asset Module or similar. - Familiarity with government configuration management (CM), technical data management (TDM), and product line management (PLM) concepts. - Familiarity with government logistics lifecycle engineering processes. - Familiarity with government inventory management and accounting systems. - Familiarity with industry, Coast Guard, and C5ISC obsolescence management. Contract/Acquisition Specialist (Remote) DLS Engineering (DLS) is looking for a Contract/Acquisition Specialist to join our team for a full-time remote position in support of the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC). You will have the opportunity to work on acquisition projects ranging from $250K-$50M+ and collaborate with Coast Guard Product Line Managers and Shared Service Division Chiefs. Prior Coast Guard experience is helpful but not required for this position.
