• Analyze claim documents thoroughly and accurately. • Prepare detailed responses to complex written inquiries from claimants and their counsel. • Address complex telephone inquiries from claimants and counsel with professionalism and precision. • Provide 'best-in-class' customer service to internal and external clients, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and work quality.

• Handle distressed or emotional callers with patience, empathy, and professionalism • Answer inbound phone calls, web form submissions, emails, and live chats from prospective clients • Guide qualified clients through electronic retainer and HIPAA form signing • Accurately document all interactions, case details, and statuses in the CRM • Send calendar invites, confirmations, and reminders • Assess basic eligibility based on fault, timelines, and case details • Clearly communicate the firm’s value, process, and next steps • Conduct consistent follow up with leads who have not yet signed • Schedule free consultations directly on attorneys’ calendars • Ask structured qualifying questions related to accidents, injuries, timelines, liability, and criminal charges

Role Description A growing and highly collaborative legal practice is seeking a Corporate Counsel with strong venture capital and emerging companies experience to join its corporate legal team. The firm partners with innovative, high-growth startups and emerging companies, serving as trusted legal advisors across all stages of the business lifecycle. Attorneys in this role operate in an outside general counsel capacity, working directly with founders and leadership teams to provide strategic legal guidance while supporting company growth. This role offers an entrepreneurial and client-facing environment, where attorneys take ownership of matters, lead sophisticated transactions, and collaborate closely with clients as strategic partners. The position is designed to provide strong work/life balance, with an expected average of 100–130 billable hours per month, significantly lower than traditional law firm expectations. Key Responsibilities - Lead and negotiate venture capital equity financings, managing transactions from term sheet through closing and post-closing matters. - Advise startups and emerging companies on a broad range of corporate matters across the business lifecycle. - Structure and negotiate debt financings and mergers & acquisitions transactions. - Counsel clients on corporate legal matters including: - company formations - capitalization and cap table management - securities law compliance - secondary sales - corporate governance - Serve as a strategic legal advisor to founders and executive teams as companies scale. - Develop and implement legal frameworks, policies, and processes that support operational growth. - Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals across matters while maintaining strong client relationships. - Manage multiple client matters simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Qualifications - 6–7+ years of corporate law experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting. - Strong venture capital financing experience (required), including leading equity financings from term sheet through closing. - Experience advising startups, founders, and emerging companies. - Experience handling M&A transactions and debt financings. - Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build trusted relationships. - Excellent academic credentials. - Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. - Entrepreneurial mindset and practical problem-solving approach. - Active bar membership in the state of residence or willingness to work onsite in the state where licensed.
