You'll be a Team Lead within the payments team, managing 3-5 engineers. We process approximately $6 billion annually across ACH, cards, and digital wallets, and handle 1099-K information returns on behalf of our customers. The work is operationally critical, and directly tied to the financial lives of both property managers and residents. Our team is seeking an accomplished Technical Team Lead, Software Engineer to join our team in supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization. You will have a direct impact on highly visible Apartments.com web applications that touch millions of users. You continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve Apartments' software products. You'll work with Engineering Leaders and Product Managers to scope and refine changes to the Payments product - turning feature requests into clear technical plans, then landing them quickly and safely. You'll bring a growth mindset, continuously developing your team's capability, adopting new tools, techniques, and AI to raise the quality and pace of delivery. You'll develop a deep understanding of the Payments product - guiding technical decisions, challenging assumptions, and representing the team confidently. Prior payments experience is a plus. This position is located in Irvine, CA and is in office Monday through Thursday with work from home on Friday. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university - A track record of commitment to prior employers - 10+ years of development experience - Experience in Web based and Database technologies - Solid web development and troubleshooting skills - Solid experience with the following technologies: C#, ASP.NET, SQL/Postgres - Experience in developing Server Side Rendered and Single Page Web Applications - Experience in fast paced Agile Scrum environments. - Understanding & implementation of automated test processes - Strong project management skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (direct reports, peers and senior management) - Excellent team building, negotiation and consensus building abilities - Ability to motivate and build high performance software development teams Preferred Qualifications And Skills - 1+ years of team leadership experience managing direct reports - Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React is highly desired - Experience with AWS EC2/ECS/S3/RDS/SQS/Aurora/Lambda is highly desired - Experience with Redis - Commercial Real Estate knowledge is a bonus What's in it for You When you join CoStar Group, you'll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.
