Title and Summary Director, Retail and Commerce Customer Development Overview • Mastercard Commerce Development enables and offers a range of products and service for our Acquiring and Merchant partners to create compelling card acceptance experience that drive the acquisition of new cardholders and then ensure a positive and long-term relationship with them.• Our propositions and consultative sales approach focus on providing rules and procedures to enable card acceptance, new and innovative solutions for contactless, e-commerce and new segments, value added services and usage campaigns. • The job holder will be executing sales and commerce development plans and activities to contribute meeting MasterCard sales targets through effective planning as well as contributing strategies and techniques necessary for achieving such targets.• The candidate will own the sales cycle from prospecting to acquisition, and later continue on account management, and maintaining and improving relationships during the post-sales phases. • Are you flexible, proactive, have the ability to work under pressure - sometimes towards tight deadlines and able to multi-task?• Do you have the ability to work on own initiative and follow things through to completion?• Do you have a strong sales and can-do attitude, and ability to identify customer needs and create solutions to deliver against them? Role • Develop Mastercard acceptance across the market in Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo (enabling generic market growth with the special focus on the new sectors, new verticals, e-commerce and contactless;• Be in charge of execution of the projects and coordinate across various stages and between different stakeholders• Manage relationship with Acquirers, other acquiring value chain stakeholders, and merchants;• Develop the business & functional model for card acceptance: defining use cases, technical requirements, financials and user experience.• Cooperate with the Public Affairs team to develop the strategy for obtaining the support of the relevant authorities and funding.• Cooperating with marketing team to develop the marketing and communication strategy for creating the awareness and promote card payments and manage budget accordingly.• Work in constant alignment with country management objectives and strategies as well as CEE and European Commerce Development priorities.
