The Coinbase Compliance Testing and Assurance (“CTA”) function is an independent oversight function that is responsible for the planning and execution of testing and monitoring activities to assess whether the processes and controls supporting the compliance framework are designed and operating effectively. The Coinbase CTA team maintains the global policy and procedures for CTA activity enterprise wide, covering US legal entities and international entities. The CTA function collaborates with other members of the Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and business functions in the execution of its mandate. The CTA Manager will be responsible for supporting the CTA Senior Manager in the development, management, execution and continued improvement of the CTA program, with the focus on processes and controls for international entities, as well as enterprise-wide processes and controls for both US and international entities. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): - Assist in designing, implementing, and enhancing enterprise-wide CTA Program methodologies and governance documents. - Participate in developing a risk-based annual CTA plan in collaboration with Compliance staff in the International, Institutional, Product, Tools and BSA/AML Teams. - Contribute to the creation of periodic reporting for the annual CTA plan progress, results, and status of remediation plans. - Perform and manage assigned CTA activities in the life cycle of planning, execution, reporting, and issue remediation, and provide escalation as needed. - Prepare reports on results of CTA activities and work with stakeholders in root cause analysis and remediation plans. - Maintain issues and remediation-related information and documentation in a central repository. - Track and validate the implementation of remediation plans submitted by issue owners to verify that issues identified during testing and monitoring are remediated. - Participate in training and/or awareness materials (as needed) regarding the CTA Program. - Stay current on regulatory development and industry events to identify trends and emerging risks impacting Coinbase products and the CTA Program. - Conduct other duties as assigned.
