The Business System Architect (Pharmacy Benefit Management) is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for software development projects. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, end-users, project managers, and developers to ensure that software applications are designed to meet business needs. The Business Architect will help translate business objectives into technical solutions and support the software development lifecycle from inception to implementation. - Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas. - Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers, and technical staff to define, document, and share business requirements and expected impact. - Requirements and Process Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements; evaluate and optimize business processes to align with software capabilities. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on business needs, design, and development throughout the project lifecycle. - Documentation and Communication: Create and maintain BRDs, user stories, process flows, and training materials to support development and user adoption. - Testing and Quality Assurance: Support UAT, identify and resolve defects, and assist end-users during testing and go-live phases to ensure solution quality. - Project and Change Management Support: Assist with project planning, tracking, and change management by analyzing impacts, managing risks, and communicating updates effectively. - Coordinate business analyst team’s activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support. - Exercise your analytical and relational database capability to quantify the anticipated solution approach and business impact. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Requirements Gathering, Process Mapping, Documentation - 3+ years in Pharmacy Systems and US PBM Domain knowledge with Medicaid experience as a plus - Skilled in both Agile and Waterfall SDLC Methodologies - Experience leading teams and mentoring junior Analysts and Architects while working with cross-functional technical and non-technical partners - Familiarity with Large Corporate Matrixed Environments with SSIS experience as a plus Requirements - Remote position from US locations. - Opportunities to travel through your work (0-20%). - Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required. - Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation. - The deadline to submit applications for this posting is July 30, 2026. - The pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Role Description We are currently seeking a Senior IBM ITXA Lead - Remote US to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States. - Solutions and executes migration of Mainframe applications into software equivalent systems (rehosting). - Uses knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, files, etc. to find the right solution to migrate off the Mainframe. Qualifications - 8+ years’ experience with Mainframe migrations. - 5+ years with IBM ITX/ITXA (map design, type trees, rules, deploy). Requirements - Hands-on migration experience from Mainframe Gentran (z/OS) to ITXA on Linux. - EDI/B2B integration experience. - Proficient with Linux administration for application runtime (services, filesystem, permissions, shell scripting). - Familiarity with Mainframe concepts: JCL, batch scheduling, data sets, etc. - Experience migrating from IBM Gentran to IBM ITXA. • Define and own the end-to-end system architecture across hardware, firmware, host software, and cloud platforms. • Architect a scalable, multi-tenant device management platform enabling remote updates, monitoring, and analytics. • Lead hardware architecture for USB-C, Thunderbolt (TB4/TB5), USB4, and power delivery systems. • Define firmware architecture including secure boot, remote firmware updates / OTA updates, device monitoring, telemetry, and diagnostics. • Establish and own security architecture across device and cloud ecosystems. • Translate product strategy into technical roadmaps, reference architectures, and scalable solutions. • Direct and manage external development partners (ODMs, firmware vendors, cloud teams). • Conduct architecture and design reviews; act as the final technical decision-maker. • Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Customer & Partner Success, Marketing and Customer Support teams. • Act as a technical evangelist supporting StarTech.com’s connected device vision internally & externally.
