QA Engineer

• Plan, prepare, and execute testing activities across assigned features, projects, releases, and change requests • Perform functional, regression, usability, compatibility, exploratory, and API testing • Validate delivered functionality against business requirements, acceptance criteria, technical specifications, and user expectations • Ensure appropriate test coverage while identifying and communicating testing risks, assumptions, and potential gaps • Provide testing estimates and contribute to delivery planning activities where required • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and supporting QA documentation • Collaborate closely with Product and Development teams to investigate issues and validate fixes • Support root-cause analysis activities and contribute recommendations aimed at reducing recurring issues • Coordinate and execute regression testing activities across releases and product updates • Assess release readiness from a QA perspective and communicate testing outcomes, risks, and recommendations • Provide regular updates on testing progress, blockers, risks, and quality concerns • Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, tooling, automation, quality controls, and QA processes • Share testing approaches, lessons learned, and best practices with the wider QA team

Job Requirements

  • Experience in software quality assurance, testing, or QA engineering roles
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and release processes
  • Experience performing functional, regression, exploratory, usability, and API testing
  • Ability to create structured test plans, test cases, and supporting documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working within Agile or fast-paced delivery environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high quality standards
  • Experience within iGaming, sportsbook, casino, crypto, fintech, or other high-transaction digital environments (advantageous)
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks and automated testing practices (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools and testing management platforms (advantageous)

Role Description As a Senior Quality Engineer at Khan Academy for a 24 months fixed term, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our web-based products used by schools and learners to improve educational outcomes.
