The Role We're looking for a Staff Product Designer specializing in investment products, responsible for shaping end-to-end experiences for Wealth Advisors and client-facing tools. This role translates complex financial systems into clear, intuitive, and high-performance user experiences. You'll thrive in ambiguity, work at high velocity, and drive problems from discovery through polished execution — collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to define solutions, rapidly prototype and validate ideas, and shape product direction. Strong expertise in investment workflows, data-heavy interfaces, and design systems is essential, along with a passion for AI-enabled workflows and design-to-code efficiency. • Own the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping, validating, and delivering high-impact product experiences that help our users make smart financial decisions. • Act as the voice of the customer, using research, usability testing, A/B testing, and other analytical tools to understand and validate ideas, problems, and solutions, ensuring every decision delivers measurable value to users. • Partner with product, engineering, data, marketing, and content teams to translate ideas into meaningful, user-centered experiences. • Design responsive and consistent experiences across mobile and desktop. • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure design feasibility, high-fidelity implementation, and visual and functional accuracy in the final product. • Contribute to product roadmaps and sprint planning alongside product and engineering teams. • Build and maintain design backlogs, and help shape design strategy for the next 6–24 months. • Support additional design needs from content and marketing initiatives across Ratehub and MoneySense. • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to align on goals, gather requirements, and co-create solutions. • Communicate design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership. • Build and maintain scalable design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products. • Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and deliver inclusive user experiences. • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and methodologies.

• Create detailed 2D technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, assembly views, and exploded views, based on provided sketches, concepts, and design briefs. • Produce accurate 3D models and assemblies using suitable CAD software. • Prepare fully dimensioned and annotated production-ready documentation for prototyping and manufacturing. • Revise and update drawings efficiently in response to internal feedback, testing outcomes, or production requirements. • Contribute practical design refinement suggestions relating to form, function, ergonomics, joinery, and aesthetics while maintaining the original design intent. • Support design-for-manufacturability by recommending practical improvements to materials, hardware, and construction methods to optimise cost, quality, and production efficiency. • Liaise with manufacturers where required to clarify technical drawings, discuss material selections, and support efficient production outcomes. • Prepare bills of materials, assembly instructions, and manufacturing specifications. • Collaborate closely with the Australian product development team through shared files, chat platforms, and regular communication. • Maintain strong version control and organised project documentation. • Other position-level duties as they arise.
