Area Sales Manager

Banner Engineering

• Evaluates and monitors territory performance and identify new business opportunities. • Works with regional and corporate resources to develop and close opportunities. • Promotes a wide variety of industrial automation products. • Develop and implement a territory sales plan to achieve sales growth targets. • Manages local accounts and provides technical support. • Maintains the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. • Collaborates with the sales teams and management of our industrial automation distributors to develop and implement strategic sales plans. • Maintains open lines of communication with the corporate office regarding territory concerns and progress.

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering or related areas
  • 7-14 years of relevant sales experience
  • Solution selling along with management-level selling
  • Ability to manage multiple sales channel partners
  • In-depth knowledge of the local market
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related area with 3-10 years of experience in a sales position preferred
  • Strong background in industrial automation (sensor, motion control and/or PLC preferred)

Title and Summary Manager, Specialist Sales, Small and Medium Enterprises Overview The Small Business segment team drives opportunities within Asia Pacific to grow and defend our business in a profitable and sustainable manner. Our key activities include:• Identifying and developing new business,• Identify and drive strategic partnerships and • Provide deep sales expertise to our partners and power their growth The Manager, Small Business Segment, based in Kuala Lumpur, will be part of the Commercial and New Payments Flow team which is responsible for advancing Mastercard's Small business efforts in Asia Pacific region. The position reports to the Vice President, Commercialisation, Small and Medium Enterprises. The individual will be responsible for driving strategy, business development, analytics and reporting. This role will support key clients in Malaysia as well as strategic sales initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. Role: The key objectives of this role are to drive growth of Small Business portfolios, achieve agreed target in terms of new wins, spend volumes, revenue and market share through the following activities:• Possess deep knowledge of payment market products and programs from both issuer, acquirer and end-user client perspective. • Develop strategy and recommend new, differentiated features and benefits to enhance sales and optimization strategy for existing and prospective Bank partners, 3rd party partners, Fintech partners and startup community in order to drive new business and incremental growth for Mastercard's Small Business portfolio• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Account Teams, Marketing, Loyalty, Finance, Pricing and Interchange, Franchise, Legal and Customer Delivery, as well as 3rd party partners to support new launches and go-to-market initiatives• Provide consultative sales enablement, especially during complex and cross-departmental discussions through the combination of functional skills and a thorough understanding of Mastercard's assets• Own end-to-end pipeline reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency across the region• Develop and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into pipeline health, coverage velocity and forecast risk• Partner with sales leaders to identify gaps, trends and opportunities within the pipeline• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, reporting efficiency and execution pipeline• Lead preparation for internal business reviews (monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc) including content development, narrative flow and data validation• Effectively communicate launch of new products, services & platforms and/or enhancements to internal stakeholders and external customers through bulletin announcements, briefing sessions, PR etc. All About You: • Strong product development/business development skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver• Relevant industry experience preferred, such as payments, cards, financial services, fintech, start-up world etc.• Track record of initiating new approaches to doing business and driving implementation to deliver tangible business results• Strong team player with good communication and presentation skills• Self-motivated and able to operate within a cross-functional team environment• Strong in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel• Organizational savviness to navigate a highly matrixed organization and resilience to thrive in high pressure goal-oriented, and substantial revenue growth driven environment.
