• Define standards for the use of LLMs, intelligent agents, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) • Design MCP Gateway architecture for secure integration between agents and external systems • Ensure scalability, resilience, security, and observability • Provide technical support to development and product teams • Contribute to the construction and evolution of customer service agents (Agent Builder)

• Deeply understand Linear’s product, especially our AI agent and newer capabilities, and continuously discover productive, real-world use cases that teams would care about • Create content that demonstrates those use cases, whether that’s short-form social, blog posts, video walkthroughs, or live demos. Format follows the story, not the other way around • Build relationships with engineering and product-focused creators and collaborate on content that feels authentic rather than sponsored • Work with our video team to produce technical product content that comes across with genuine depth • Partner with support, sales, and product on developer-facing documentation and educational content • Stay plugged into the conversations happening on X, in newsletters, and at events, and make sure Linear has a voice in the ones that matter

• Assist in designing and developing agentic AI workflows to automate Corporate IT processes • Build integrations across enterprise platforms (HRIS, ITSM, identity, device management, finance systems) • Support development of AI-powered agents for ticket triage, request fulfillment, and knowledge retrieval • Collaborate with Helpdesk, Enterprise Applications, and Systems teams to identify automation opportunities • Develop scripts (Python, PowerShell, or similar) to support workflow execution • Document workflows, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures

Role Description The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Neumo’s Tax Administration and Revenue SaaS applications, including but not limited to Business License Online, RDSNet and related products. Reporting to the Development Manager, this role works within a cross-functional product team to deliver compliant, reliable, and maintainable application enhancements driven by legislative and client requirements. This position focuses on application development, production support, and incremental enhancement/modernization of existing systems rather than greenfield platform development. - Analyze legislative, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements per Product's request - Design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements across Tax Administration products, including Business License Online and RDSNet - Implement compliant updates to meet state and local tax mandates - Write clean, well-designed, maintainable code following established standards - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application and database components - Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies, including planning, estimation, and retrospectives - Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver prioritized work - Perform functional validation and support testing efforts to ensure system stability - Document changes and implementation details where appropriate - Support production systems and assist with issue resolution and root-cause analysis - Apply best practices for reliability, maintainability, and security within existing application architectures - Provide continuity and technical ownership in areas previously supported in a contractor capacity - Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required. - Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. - Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience in enterprise or SaaS environments. - Experience developing web-based applications using .NET technologies (C# preferred) and working with relational databases (SQL Server preferred). - Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. - Experience supporting applications in production environments and troubleshooting performance or integration issues. - Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and CI/CD pipelines is preferred. - Experience working with government, tax, licensing, financial systems, or other regulated industries is a plus.
