Role Description As a Rapid Response Care Assistant, you will be at the forefront of supporting individuals during crucial transitions, such as hospital discharges, crisis management, and care package adjustments. This role demands quick thinking, flexibility, and a compassionate approach as you provide exceptional care to individuals with a wide range of complex needs. These can include, but are not limited to, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, locked-in syndrome, rehabilitation, and motor neurone disease. Your duties may also involve assisting clients with personal care tasks such as: - Washing - Dressing - Eating - Toileting - Safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement Qualifications - Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel nationally up to a 2 hour radius and occasional overnight stays, fully reimbursed) - Previous experience in a care environment or a similar role - Resilience to stay calm and professional during challenging situations - Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., CQC standards, health and safety) Requirements - Experience in supporting clients with complex needs (desirable) - NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable) Benefits - Enhanced DBS check required: A full and satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check is a condition of employment - Probationary Period: 6 months, during which regular reviews and 1:1 meetings will be held by your manager - A 6-day paid induction course at your local office, paid at minimum wage - Additional eLearning modules, also paid at minimum wage - Mileage will be reimbursed at £0.28 per mile from the first mile, and travel ticket expenses are also covered - Rotational shifts covering days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays to ensure full coverage - Flexibility in working hours may be required based on client needs and staffing arrangements - Annual leave which accrues over time (note: leave cannot be taken during the two-week Christmas period) - Bank holidays, Christmas, and New Year will be worked on a rota basis to ensure fairness across the team - Access to a 24-hour support line, including clinical advice for emergency situations Company Description At Komplex Care, we specialise in providing tailored, nurse-led complex care for individuals who need ongoing support to live independently in their own homes.
