Software Development Consultant

• Design, develop, and implement enhancements, bug fixes, and maintenance updates across a suite of Java/Spring Boot/Angular applications • Lead technical delivery for assigned applications, ensuring quality, stability, and timely execution • Manage day‑to‑day KTLO (Keep The Lights On) operations, including incident triage, root‑cause analysis, and problem resolution • Partner with architects and shared services teams to ensure compliance with enterprise development standards, security requirements, and SDLC processes • Drive continuous improvement efforts, including automation, performance optimization, and cost‑reduction opportunities • Review performance metrics and testing results to identify and address system bottlenecks • Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing across the team • Support change management, release readiness, and production deployment activities • Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hands‑on development experience with: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs
  • Angular or similar front‑end frameworks
  • SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar)
  • Strong experience supporting and maintaining production applications in an enterprise environment
  • Proven ability to write clean, testable, efficient code
  • Experience troubleshooting high‑volume, low‑latency, mission‑critical systems
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Understanding of application security tools and practices (e.g., Veracode, Snyk, Qualys)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple technologies and platforms
