What you will do: - Automated Testing - Design and execute AI-enhanced automated tests based on business requirements that are executable in a CI/CD pipeline. - Responsible for the development of automated tests that utilize AI to proactively detect and resolve issues, providing a reliable metric of platform risk and coverage. - Reduce manual testing efforts through intelligent automation. - Develop and maintain detailed technical reports for developers and high-level reports for business stakeholders. - QA Architecture - Contribute to AI-based testing frameworks that adapt to technological advancements and evolving business needs. - Document solutions and strategies to integrate AI into the testing processes. - Partner with Senior testers to contribute to design a scalable and self-adapting testing framework that incorporates AI to enhance platform capabilities. - Assist in development of self-healing mechanisms within the testing framework to minimize disruptions and support business growth. - Research & Development (R&D) - Stay updated with AI advancements and assess their potential impact on automated testing. - Test and analyze new technologies, employing critical thinking to determine their feasibility and integration into existing systems. - Continuous innovation in testing strategies, focusing on the integration of the latest AI technologies. • Organize, conduct, and schedule all Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives • Train and coach team members on agile processes, methods, and tasks to ensure consistent understanding and application of agile practices • Maintain and groom the backlog, facilitating thorough and productive backlog grooming sessions • Manage agile/project artifacts, ensuring all project tracking and documentation are up-to-date and accurately reflect project status • Track progress towards project delivery goals and provide leadership with high-level summaries and updates on project progress • Execute functional testing of web application features, validating stories against acceptance criteria and documenting defects with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and expected versus actual behavior • Build, maintain, and expand automated regression test suites using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium with Cucumber/Gherkin BDD patterns, integrated into GitLab CI pipelines for continuous feedback • Create and maintain automated API test collections using Postman and Rest Assured to validate microservice endpoints, inter-service contracts, and integration points with external systems • Create and maintain integration test cases / scenarios • Perform digital accessibility evaluations on coded solutions using automated tools (aXe, pa11y, WAVE, ANDI) and manual techniques (JAWS and NVDA screen reader testing) per WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards, following the DHS Trusted Tester conformance test process • Document accessibility findings with specific WCAG success criteria references and actionable remediation guidance that enables developers to resolve issues efficiently • Execute load and performance tests using NeoLoad, JMeter, or equivalent tools to validate response times, throughput, and error rates against defined thresholds before production releases • Maintain test plans and test cases in Confluence linked to Jira stories, with test evidence documented for sprint reviews • Collaborate with developers to define clear acceptance criteria and test criteria during backlog refinement, ensuring stories are testable before development begins • Participate fully in Agile ceremonies within a scrum framework: Sprint Planning, Standup, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement • Maintain CI-integrated test suites at a 95% pass rate or above and resolve flaky tests promptly to keep automation a reliable quality gate • Support production triage when assigned, diagnosing issues and verifying fixes through the standard CI/CD pipeline • Contribute to test strategy improvements, automation framework enhancements, and knowledge sharing across the project team
