Position Summary: To develop and enhance automated testing frameworks for mobile and IoT platforms, incorporating AI technologies and advanced analytical methods. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in mobile and IoT automation and a strong capability in AI-driven solutions, demanding exceptional critical thinking to address complex challenges and innovate testing processes. This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to Director of Quality Assurance & Release Management. What you will do: - Automated Testing - Design and execute AI-enhanced automated tests based on business requirements that are executable in a CI/CD pipeline. - Responsible for the development of automated tests that utilize AI to proactively detect and resolve issues, providing a reliable metric of platform risk and coverage. - Reduce manual testing efforts through intelligent automation. - Develop and maintain detailed technical reports for developers and high-level reports for business stakeholders. - QA Architecture - Contribute to AI-based testing frameworks that adapt to technological advancements and evolving business needs. - Document solutions and strategies to integrate AI into the testing processes. - Partner with Senior testers to contribute to design a scalable and self-adapting testing framework that incorporates AI to enhance platform capabilities. - Assist in development of self-healing mechanisms within the testing framework to minimize disruptions and support business growth. - Research & Development (R&D) - Stay updated with AI advancements and assess their potential impact on automated testing. - Test and analyze new technologies, employing critical thinking to determine their feasibility and integration into existing systems. - Continuous innovation in testing strategies, focusing on the integration of the latest AI technologies. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree or equivalent - 2+ years of software development experience. - Experience in Java, Python or equivalent. - Experience with mobile test automation tools like Appium. - Strong foundation in AI and machine learning applications in testing. - Expertise in automated test framework architecture, particularly in cloud-based and AI-driven environments. - Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to critically evaluate technological integrations. - In-depth knowledge of current and emerging AI technologies and their applications in the industry. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills. - Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes. - Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment. - Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality. - Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 5%); will include some overnight travel. - Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams) Physical Demands: Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:  - Sitting, standing and walking (95-100%)   - Keyboarding (70-90%)   - Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone requiring close vision (70-90%)  Work Environment: 100% Remote: Work environment is at home. Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 plus 5% determined by competitive market analysis and internal equity considerations. POSITION SUMMARY: Senior Software Engineer in Test is a software engineer who owns the quality and reliability of the systems they build. You bring deep expertise in test automation and quality engineering, combined with a drive to expand into building production software. Work closely with the architecture team on system design, ensuring testability and reliability are built in from the start.
