Event Marketer
OpenRouter
• Run events end-to-end • Execute across formats: - Conference activations and industry events - Curated dinners and small, high-signal gatherings - Partner and third-party community events • Own logistics, vendors, budgets, timelines, and on-site execution • Turn ideas into something repeatable • Take rough concepts and make them real • Build lightweight playbooks and templates as patterns emerge • Help us go from one-off events to a program that scales • Work across teams and audiences • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and EPD to support key initiatives • Help us show up effectively across: - Developers - Startups - AI-native teams - VP and C-level leaders • Adjust formats and execution based on who’s in the room • Coordinate partners and vendors • Work with venues, agencies, and ecosystem partners • Support co-hosted events with VCs and communities • Keep things tight and improving • Track what we’re doing and what’s working • Help bring structure as we increase volume
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience running events (startup, tech, or agency)
- Experience with both:
- Large conferences / activations
- Smaller, curated experiences
- You’re a doer - you move quickly and figure things out
- Strong operator with attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing plans
- Good taste - you know the difference between high-signal and forgettable
- Comfortable with AI-native workflows—you embrace automation and AI-assisted ways of working to move faster
- Ability to travel regularly (amount will vary dependent upon where the hire is based).
