• Build and lead the platform team - hire engineers, set the pace, and create an environment where strong ICs want to stay and grow. • Stay hands-on. You're coding, reviewing architecture decisions, and in the weeds on the systems your team owns. • Own technical direction for the platform - understand the trade-offs across our edge, cloud, and data infrastructure and make the calls that keep things moving. • Steer projects through ambiguity. When something stalls or breaks, you debug the situation. • Partner with engineering leadership on capacity, reliability, and cost across the routing layer. • Represent the platform team's needs and priorities to the broader organization.
• Run events end-to-end • Execute across formats: - Conference activations and industry events - Curated dinners and small, high-signal gatherings - Partner and third-party community events • Own logistics, vendors, budgets, timelines, and on-site execution • Turn ideas into something repeatable • Take rough concepts and make them real • Build lightweight playbooks and templates as patterns emerge • Help us go from one-off events to a program that scales • Work across teams and audiences • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and EPD to support key initiatives • Help us show up effectively across: - Developers - Startups - AI-native teams - VP and C-level leaders • Adjust formats and execution based on who’s in the room • Coordinate partners and vendors • Work with venues, agencies, and ecosystem partners • Support co-hosted events with VCs and communities • Keep things tight and improving • Track what we’re doing and what’s working • Help bring structure as we increase volume
• Own and evolve our edge and cloud infrastructure across Cloudflare, Google Cloud, and Vercel. • Scale and operate our data layer including Spanner, ClickHouse, and Postgres. • Ensure we are optimizing for performance when serving LLM inference as traffic rapidly grows. • Partner with engineering leadership on capacity, reliability, and cost across the routing layer, with ownership of the systems carrying production traffic. • Set the bar and playbook for how we run infrastructure and operations as the team grows — tooling, observability, on-call, and the patterns other engineers build against.
• Own and evolve our public REST API and the developer experience around it — from API design and ergonomics to versioning, errors, and rate-limiting behavior. • Build and maintain our client SDKs across TypeScript and Python, and lead the launches of our upcoming SDKs. • Ship our Agent SDK, expanding it into a surface for multi-step, agentic workloads built on OpenRouter. • Treat documentation, examples, and starter repos as products — instrument what developers and AI coding agents land on first, and make sure those are strong entry points to OpenRouter. • Make every developer-facing surface agent-friendly, given that AI coding agents are users of our APIs and SDKs. • Collaborate with our DevRel, Product, and Platform teams to identify gaps in the developer ecosystem and run with them end to end.
• Build and ship high quality customer-facing products and features. • Own products from concept to production, ensuring they are performant, reliable, and delightful for users. Make good product and design decisions, and be open to feedback and collaborative creation. • Bring a strong product instinct — push back when something doesn't make sense, and propose your own ideas to help make our product even better. • Partner with product and design teams to shape what we build, not just how we build it. • Identify bottlenecks, build great monitoring, propose solutions, and optimize performance across both frontend and backend systems. • Help raise the bar for product quality, design polish, and craft as the team grows.
• This is not a traditional HR role. It is a builder-operator role focused on talent, systems, and scaling • Build and own the recruiting engine as Head of Recruiting • Hire and manage a team of IC recruiters • Hire from ~50 → 200+ employees without lowering the talent bar • Own core people operations: Onboarding and Offboarding, Benefits, Payroll • Design and implement compensation, leveling, and career ladder frameworks • Establish lightweight, high-signal performance management systems • Build talent development systems including career paths, leveling, and internal mobility • Define and reinforce company values through hiring and performance decisions • Partner with founders and leadership on org design and hiring strategy
