Role Description The Head of Deployment & Support – Private Cloud is a critical senior leadership role within our Professional Services organization. This role oversees all Private Cloud Liquid Data (LD) deployments and the end‑to‑end technical support function for LD applications. Responsible for leading a growing team of ~20 engineers and leads, this role ensures our solutions are deployed with excellence, configured to best‑practice standards, monitored effectively, and supported with high reliability. Job Responsibilities - Technical Deployment Leadership - Lead all technical deployment activities for Liquid Data software in Private Cloud environments, including new client setups, expansions, and major configuration changes. - Own the technical architecture, configuration blueprint, and standards for all LD application layers. - Provide expert oversight on full‑stack LD configuration, integrations, and application‑level performance tuning. - Define and maintain deployment frameworks, templates, checklists, and standard methodologies for scalable repeatable delivery. - Validate solution design, architecture decisions, and environment readiness in partnership with Engineering and Cloud Ops. - Oversee scripting and automation efforts within LD software, and drive automation requirements for non‑LD components to relevant teams. - Ensure LD-specific monitoring is configured correctly (performance logs, usage logs, application configuration logs). - Act as senior technical authority during pre‑deployment scoping and planning alongside Project Managers and Commercial Leads. - Drive continuous improvement of deployment processes, documentation, and technical standards. - Support Team Leadership - Lead and grow the Private Cloud LD Support team (~20 staff), including direct team leads and senior engineers. - Establish and maintain operational processes, SOPs, and documentation standards related to LD support. - Oversee day‑to‑day support quality, prioritization, and technical troubleshooting for LD applications. - Ensure consistent configuration, logging, monitoring, and performance management practices across all support deliveries. - Act as final technical escalation point for critical LD application issues in the Private Cloud. - Build team capability through coaching, technical development, knowledge management, and career progression. - Scale the support function in alignment with Professional Services revenue growth. - Cross‑Functional & Client Engagement - Work closely with Engineering, Product, Cloud Ops, Client Services, Security, and PMO to ensure coordinated and high‑quality delivery. - Participate in technical discussions with clients when deep LD expertise is required. - Represent Private Cloud Deployment & Support in strategic planning, roadmap alignment, and operational governance forums. - Drive collaboration and accountability across teams to ensure high‑quality deployments and seamless transition to steady‑state support. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in technical deployment, application configuration, or solution engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a senior/leadership capacity. - Deep understanding of multi‑layer application stacks, configuration management, performance logging, and environment validation. - Strong architectural understanding of enterprise application deployments and integration touchpoints. - Experience with scripting, automation, and configuration orchestration—hands-on for LD software, oversight for non‑LD tooling. - Strong knowledge of monitoring and diagnostics for application-layer components (logging, performance, usage metrics). Requirements - Proven experience leading medium-to-large technical teams (15+), including managers/team leads. - Demonstrated experience creating frameworks, standards, and processes for large-scale deployments. - Ability to operate as a senior cross-functional leader across Engineering, Product, Cloud Ops, and Client Services. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging at all seniority levels. - Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to drive clarity and structure across complex technical environments. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - Experience in cloud-based application deployments strongly preferred. - Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, highly dynamic environment with ambitious scaling targets. - Comfortable working remotely; Bangalore preferred.
