Mobile Engineering Manager

• Manage a team of Android and iOS engineers as they design, build, ship, and maintain Oura app features. • Oversee and manage the development and delivery of highly technical cross-functional projects, while collaborating closely with engineering teams and colleagues in the EU. • Contribute to the planning and scoping of critical projects and own the execution and delivery of engineering efforts. • Collaborate with stakeholders in Product, Design, Science, Research, Data Science, Regulatory, Marketing and other teams across our global organization. • Mentor your reports to help develop their skills and foster professional growth. You will take pride in guiding them through their careers. • Provide technical leadership to your team; while you may no longer write code, you are still deeply technical and will contribute to, and sometimes lead, technical discussions. • Evaluate trade-offs and make sound technical decisions that impact entire projects. • Champion engineering excellence, establish key metrics, and drive continuous operational improvements.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in software engineering, of which 2+ years were as a manager of software engineers.
- Technical degree or equivalent software engineering work experience.
- Experience managing Android and/or iOS engineers.
- Experience with agentic coding and AI development workflows.
- Experience shipping consumer-facing mobile applications and/or the systems that power them.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum processes and ability to advocate for process improvements.
- Strong communication, project management, and delegation skills. Able to drive cross-functional projects from inception to product launch.
- Strong people management skills. You proudly recognize achievements and successes and also do not hesitate to provide constructive feedback. You are also open to feedback and have a growth mindset.
