Role Description Keysight’s Optical Design Engineering (ODE) team is seeking a highly skilled Optical Engineer to join our Customer Success organization. In this role, you will provide technical support, training, and high‑quality technical content to customers using LightTools, the industry‑leading illumination design and analysis software. The position is focused on supporting customers across North America. Key Responsibilities - Provide expert technical support to Optical Design Engineering customers and prospects via email, web meetings, and in‑person interactions. - Develop and deliver technical materials including training courses, webinars, user‑event content, customer‑meeting materials, technical articles, and videos. - Collaborate closely with software development, optical design engineering, sales, marketing, documentation teams, and technical management. Qualifications - Demonstrated experience in illumination system modeling, analysis, or design using commercial optical design tools. - Proficiency with advanced optical design software; LightTools expertise strongly preferred. - Ability to quickly understand and communicate complex optical engineering challenges related to emerging technologies. - Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely. - Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and organizational abilities. - Experience with imaging or photonics design tools is a plus. - Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work effectively both independently and in a team environment. - Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Optics, Optical Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. - Willingness to travel domestically to support and train customers.
