Role Description We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Data Science to lead our data science function for the Indonesia market, our largest and most mature market. This is a senior leadership role with broad scope, overseeing a team of 20+ data scientists working across multiple domains including credit risk, collections, and growth modeling. You will work directly with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) to define and execute the strategic vision of the data science team, drive innovation across a diverse set of use cases, and ensure the team delivers meaningful business impact at scale. This role demands both strong leadership and the ability to stay hands-on when needed. Qualifications - Minimum 10 years of experience in data science or machine learning, with at least 3–5 years in a team leadership or management role, preferably leading large teams. - Diverse domain experience across multiple areas such as credit risk, collections, growth, fraud, or customer analytics; breadth of experience is valued as much as depth. - Strong technical skills across the full data science lifecycle, from data analysis and feature engineering to model development and production deployment. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior business leaders. - Experience in the Indonesian market or Southeast Asian financial services industry is a plus. Requirements - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 20+ data scientists across multiple domains and workstreams. - Work directly with the CDO to define the strategic vision, priorities, and long-term roadmap of the data science function. - Build a high-performance team culture with strong best practices in model development, validation, and deployment. - Manage hiring, onboarding, and career development of data science talent, and play a key role in shaping the team structure as it continues to grow. - Oversee the development and deployment of models across a diverse range of domains including credit risk, collections, fraud detection, customer growth, segmentation, and propensity modeling. - Remain hands-on and lead by example, actively contributing to data analysis, model building, and technical problem solving alongside the team. - Collaborate with ML engineering teams to integrate models into operational systems and data pipelines. - Champion data-driven decision making across all business functions in the Indonesia market. - Serve as the primary data science leader and point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders across risk, collections, product, operations, and growth functions. - Translate complex model outputs and data science insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences. - Regularly present strategic updates, model performance, and key insights to senior leadership and the CDO. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure models are aligned with real business needs and priorities. Salary/Hourly Rate: $90k - $110k DOE Position Overview: The Formulations Scientist will support the end-to-end development of pet nutrition products, with a strong emphasis on hands-on formulation and product development. This role requires experience beyond computer-based formulation work, including bench development, manufacturing scale-up, and production observation.
