Deputy Director, Data QA

Catalist

• Participate in hiring and staff management for the Data QA team • Manage operational tasks for the Data QA team and provide support on technical and non-technical items to team members • Oversee and administer onboarding and staff training for the QA team • Lead the Data QA involvement on cross-departmental projects, directly interacting with other departments working on the projects, stakeholders, and management • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on various datasets and support other Catalist teams on usage of those datasets • Serve as the primary resource for investigating and communicating anomalies in Catalist data across the management team

Job Requirements

  • BS or BA in a technical field, or relevant experience
  • Experience working within teams of varying technical abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (large data sets, formulas, graphs, and pivot tables)
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other relational database programming language and shell scripting
  • Background check required

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting detailed quality reviews of ancillary insurance marketing presentations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established standards. Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: - Strong ancillary insurance product knowledge, including understanding of plan structures, benefits, and rate methodologies. - Financial acumen with the ability to assess rate structures, validate calculations, and review financial summaries for accuracy. - High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy, consistency, and process adherence. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for communicating findings and collaborating crossfunctionally. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accountability in a remote environment. Education, Training and Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in ancillary insurance or a related field. - Experience with reviewing or preparing rate structures, financial summaries, or other insurance-related calculations preferred. - Training or coursework in insurance, finance, business, analytics, or a related discipline is a plus. - Familiarity with quality assurance processes, audit methods, or presentation review procedures is beneficial. The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $25 to $30 per hour. Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
