Senior Manager, External Communications – Contract

• Define and evolve YPO’s external narrative and thought leadership positioning across key audiences. • Identify priority themes, topics and opportunities that elevate YPO’s voice in global business conversations, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and key business objectives. • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate organizational priorities into compelling external narratives. • Own the content and messaging experience of YPO.org as the central platform for YPO’s external narrative. • Define content priorities and narrative direction for YPO.org, in partnership with the Creative team. • Ensure alignment between website content, brand positioning and thought leadership goals. • Define the role of social media as a distribution and amplification engine for YPO’s external narrative. • Develop platform strategies that align with thought leadership and visibility goals. • Lead narrative development and digital amplification strategy for YPO’s flagship global events and high-visibility initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • 8–12 years working in external communications, digital strategy, content strategy or related fields.
  • Proven ability to shape and elevate brand or thought leadership narratives in a complex or global organization.
  • Strong track record of developing integrated, multi-channel strategies that drive visibility and engagement.
  • Experience partnering with and presenting to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, with strong presentation skills and the ability to translate priorities into external communications.
  • Exposure to high-profile events, campaigns or real-time content environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, content ecosystems and evolving audience behaviors.

Work Flexibility: Field-based Works directly with a Sales Representative to help aid with the planning, directing and coordination of the selling, marketing and promotion of Stryker products to physicians.
