Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will: - Develop and execute commodity strategies to meet GSI NAM Project needs ensuring cost, quality and delivery. - Identify, evaluate and manage supplier relationships. - Track market trends, commodity prices and risks to implement buy strategies. - Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality team to assess, and qualify new suppliers - Negotiate master supply agreements as well as project-specific agreements for equipment and material - Work closely with Tender Sourcing Leaders on commercial bids to align on commodity strategy, ensuring supplier evaluation and selection is completed in tender stage. - Implement operating rhythm for continuous improvement, accountability, and efficiency in supplier engagement in Execution - Drive KPIs: Deflation, DTP, Quality, Compliance, OTD - Source and develop certified minority, veteran-owned, women-owned, and small business suppliers to achieve customer requirements - Ensure compliance with GE sourcing policies and procedures Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college - Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing category management in manufacturing industry or project environment - Minimum of 5 years of experience with contracting and negotiation of equipment and material - Ability and willingness to travel 30% of the time, and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies Desired Characteristics: - Bachelors degree in engineering or technical discipline or MBA - Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on time and in budget - Experience in sourcing or supply chain in a high voltage electrical construction project environment - Strong oral and written communication skills - Negotiation expertise - Strategic thinker / planner - Strong quantitative and analytical skills - Able to develop a strategy and drive execution in a matrixed environment Le/La titulaire de ce poste est responsable de l'élaboration, de la mise en œuvre et de la direction de la stratégie d'approvisionnement en équipements internes et externes dans le cadre des projets d'installations électriques haute tension. About the role - Lead monitoring, reporting, and governance activities across the sales division, identifying compliance gaps and managing matters arising with effective controls and consequences. - Collaborate with account managers and partners to develop and deliver engagement plans that meet Allianz and regulatory requirements. - Build and sustain a strong risk culture by educating consumer partners, aligning operations to the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), and supporting risk‑informed decision‑making. - Coach and develop teams to drive high performance, promote diversity and inclusion, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and wellbeing obligations. - Strengthen future capability and continuous improvement by enhancing supervision models, leveraging automation and forward‑looking insights, and deepening internal understanding of consumer partner operations.
