What you’ll do: The Professional Learning Coach provides the highest quality professional learning, in person and online, focused on supporting teachers and leaders with implementation of their HMH solutions. This work focuses on onboarding, planning, improving Instructional Learning practices, and supporting increased student achievement. The Coach is an HMH ambassador, promoting services, curriculum solutions, and resources. You will lead by example, invites educators to deepen their knowledge, and stretches their thinking. The Professional Learning Coach is a reflective practitioner who invests in learning for themselves and others. Working in Professional Services, you will be responsible for the following primary duties: - Training and Coaching: Brings content to life and facilitates meaningful learning experiences - Dynamic Facilitation: In-Person, willing to travel and Online coaching - Responsible for the delivery of direct, revenue-generating service events (weekly availability must reflect the ability for customer to confirm a minimum of 10 hours/week). - Works to maintain an individual standard of Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) of 90% or higher and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 55 or higher for session facilitation and coaching - Provides focused, meaningful, and relevant professional learning and coaching experiences. - Plans and prepares with a flexible and engaging approach to adult teaching and learning - Demonstrates digital fluency with a variety of tools to drive engagement, collaboration, and learning. - Amplifies and elevates diverse teachers' voices. - Demonstrates versatility to be responsive to teacher and district needs. - Personifies HMH values through actions and intentional language. - Student-Centered Coaching - Leads solution-centered conversations and messaging with educators focused on student growth. - Uses a variety of coaching practices to further teacher-selected goals. - Recommends connected HMH resources to support instruction when appropriate. - Uses assessment and report data to individualize and differentiate support. - Account Preparation and Support: Accepts assignments, prepares for delivery within their content expertise, and communicates effectively to our customers and to HMH staff (in writing, through conversations, use of Salesforce, and Box) - Is responsive within 24 business hours to internal partners and customers. - Maintains an up-to-date calendar, with ample availability for staffing/scheduling of events. - Uses Salesforce to review account and session information to understand the learning needs of the teacher(s) or leaders who will participate. - Communicates with the customer and/or internal Services staff to ensure support is aligned with the district/school needs and goals are consistent. - Reviews and contributes to account notes as appropriate to ensure a continuity of service is possible for the life of the account. - Communicates with customers in preparation for the event (i.e., sending Zoom links) and confirms delivery of service within 24 hours of the session. - Monitors and contributes to account data as necessary according to the implementation/success plan. - Growth and Development: United in a shared commitment and focus on Inquiry, Curiosity, and Transparency - Educational and Program Expertise - Invests in ongoing enablement and skill development for self and others. - Completes internal program and delivery readiness training & credentialing. - Supports the improvement of teaching and learning through an SEL and equity lens. - Develops a deep understanding of HMH programs and services, beyond initial certification coursework, to serve as experts on program(s), pedagogy, Professional Learning practices, and implementation. - Understands evidence-based practices to support instruction, assessment, and professional learning. - Monitors and stays informed of current trends and shifts in the educational landscape, research, and digital learning best practices. - Reflective Practitioner - Shares thinking about learning with peers, managers, and across divisions. - Uses tools for purposeful reflection. - Participates in reflective practices that allow for feedback of self and others. - Engages in opportunities to safely take appropriate risks, to be vulnerable without judgement and opportunities to examine implicit biases. - Applies actionable feedback to current practices in the field and shares learning from these experiences. - Focuses on continual professional growth. - Special Projects and Service Support - Shares insights and needs for new development and/or resources/tools with the Growth and Learning Team. - Promotes HMH Professional Services and resources. - Other duties as assigned. • Develop, lead, and institutionalize an enterprise wide leadership, learning, and organizational development strategy aligned to Make-A-Wish’s strategic plan and annual priorities. • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leaders on leadership capability, talent development, culture, and organizational effectiveness. • Build multi year roadmaps for leadership development, succession planning, workforce capability, and organizational design. • Design and implement tiered, Make-A-Wish–branded leadership development experiences for emerging leaders through executives. • Establish leadership competency models and behavioral expectations aligned to mission, values, and culture. • Create executive coaching, high potential, and succession ready development experiences in partnership with HR Business Partners and senior leaders. • Implement and sustain enterprise leadership assessments (e.g., EQ/360 tools) to inform development, coaching, and succession strategies. • Lead organization design and effectiveness initiatives, including structure, role clarity, spans and layers, and team effectiveness. • Partner on enterprise change management efforts tied to major initiatives, transformations, and strategic priorities. • Facilitate leadership offsites, team effectiveness sessions, and cross functional working forums as needed. • Design and institutionalize an enterprise Career Growth Model, including career pathways, critical experiences, and development opportunities. • Partner with executive leaders and HR Business Partners to lead biannual, cross functional national talent and succession planning processes. • Identify organizational capability gaps and design targeted strategies to strengthen leadership bench strength and internal mobility. • Oversee the design and delivery of blended learning solutions (facilitated, virtual, digital, cohort based) grounded in adult learning principles. • Curate and integrate internal and external learning resources, including certifications, executive programs, and leadership tools. • Facilitate enterprise learning programs and workshops across the National Office and Chapters, modeling inclusive and mission aligned facilitation practices. • Guide the effective use of learning and change technologies (e.g., LMS, LXP, talent platforms) to support scalable learning and development. • Continuously evaluate learning programs, tools, and vendors for quality, relevance, scalability, and impact. • Manage external partners and vendors to support enterprise learning and development goals. • Reinforce Make-A-Wish values through leadership behaviors, development programs, and learning experiences. • Embed inclusion, belonging, and leadership accountability into leadership and talent development initiatives. • Support broader engagement and culture building efforts in partnership with People & Culture leadership. • Define success metrics such as leadership bench strength, internal promotion rates, succession readiness, engagement scores, and program effectiveness. • Use data and insights to continuously improve programs and demonstrate ROI. • Build executive level dashboards and reporting to communicate talent development outcomes and organizational impact.
