Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement
V2X
Role Description V2X has an immediate opening for a Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance of the Global Procurement and Supply Chain organization supporting some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. V2X employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions allowing them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. Key Responsibilities: - Leads strategic sourcing efforts as it relates to procurement for all business units, developing strategies such as Long-term Agreements (LTAs), Master Sourcing Agreements (MSAs), that support procurement efficiency and program requirements. - Oversees the day-to-day procurement execution for Modernization and Sustainment Business Unit within V2X, providing guidance and leadership to geographically dispersed procurement teams. - Develop strategic supplier strategies to expand the procurement organization’s capability to meet the customer's future expectations/needs in conjunction with V2X Strategic Sourcing/Enterprise Buying efforts. - Monitors supplier performance metrics and leads reviews for assigned programs or product lines. - Leads procurement managers and supervisors in a matrixed environment to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements. - Prepares and presents sourcing and supplier performance updates to senior leadership and internal stakeholders. - Manages and develops procurement staff, including performance management, training, and career performance. - Executes sourcing and workforce strategies that strengthen the organizational capability, including skills development, recruiting, and supplier/industry partnerships. - Develops and executes sourcing strategies and supplier roadmaps supporting revenue, margin, and quality objectives for assigned portfolios. - Leads execution of complex procurement projects including schedules, budgets, risk mitigation, and deliverables. - Identifies procurement risks and opportunities and supports development of mitigation strategies. - Conducts supplier reviews, identifies issues, and drives corrective actions across assigned programs. - Interfaces with internal customers and program teams on technical, schedule, and cost topics related to supply chain activities. - Supports key negotiations with critical suppliers and contributes to contract change efforts. - Supports business development and proposal activities including supplier proposal strategies and cost/price positions. - Delegates assignments and collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop innovative sourcing solutions. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 12+ years' of demonstrated leadership in DoD supply chain and procurement. - 8+ years Aviation and base operations support experience. - Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. - U.S. citizenship is required. - Travel: 30% CONUS OCONUS. Requirements - Active Secret clearance. - Demonstrated expert in Supply Chain. - Demonstrated expertise in compliance issues related to federal procurement and supply chain operations, including audit preparedness, training, policy and procedure development and regulations. - Ability to leverage cost structures that will allow the business to win programs as well as meet internal financial targets. - Ability to articulate and synthesize a sustainable, positive foundation within the supplier base to win opportunities. - Ability to develop and execute critical suppliers/subcontractors and strategies and shape the suppliers response. - Demonstrated Ability to Manage Program Complexity. - Demonstrated Ability to Manage Across Multiple/Large Span of Control. - Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert in Risk Management. - Leadership - Ability to consistently balance strategic and tactical objectives for a business area or a family portfolio while optimizing stakeholder value. - Communication - Ability to clearly and concisely report relevant information and to summarize data for senior management. - Decision Making - Ability to practically apply advanced strategic and tactical skills across many aspects of programs and the supply chain organization. Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic sourcing professional to lead procurement strategy for raw materials across the organization. This role is responsible for shaping category strategies, optimizing supplier performance, and driving cost and margin improvement across approximately $250M in spend. As an individual contributor, the Director will operate through cross-functional influence—partnering closely with Business Unit leadership, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, R&D, and Supplier Quality. This role will define sourcing strategies, establish governance, and guide execution, which will be carried out by local procurement and operations teams.
