As a Regional Power Market Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, managing key relationships, and leading projects from conception to completion while ensuring alignment with Hanson’s Vision, Mission, and Values. A Day in the Life of a Texas Regional Power Market Lead at Hanson In this role, you will be entrusted with a variety of exciting responsibilities, including: - Business Development & Leadership: Lead business development initiatives while managing customer relationships, overseeing project execution, and driving financial and risk management for key projects. - Project Management: Lead, coordinate, and manage Power market projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Oversee all project planning, scheduling, and delivery aspects to meet critical deadlines and project milestones. - Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement a tactical sales and earnings plan supporting current and future strategic business objectives. Identify and prioritize key revenue-generating opportunities in the Power market. - Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the face of Hanson, presenting a professional corporate image while representing the company in marketing and sales presentations, events, and client interactions. Build strong relationships with existing customers, prospects, industry affiliates, and potential partners. - Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, the competitive landscape, and industry demographics to identify new growth and revenue-generation opportunities. - Team Collaboration & Support: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, assisting with sales presentations, proposal preparation, and business development meetings. Support and facilitate collaboration across all market functions to ensure seamless execution of key initiatives. We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualifications to ensure success in this role: - Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in an engineering, science or business-related field is required. - Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in senior management, business development, and project management, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility. - Project Management Expertise: Previous experience managing complex projects, from inception to execution, in a power market industry sector or similar. Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and team coordination. - Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead diverse project teams, manage cross-functional efforts, and foster a collaborative environment. Prior staff management experience is a plus. - Business Development & Client Engagement: Proven, strong ability to build and maintain client relationships, develop business opportunities, and drive revenue growth. - Interpersonal Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. - Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business desktop applications. - Flexibility & Commitment: Willingness to travel as needed and work overtime to meet project deadlines. - A valid driver’s license is also required. Preferred Qualifications (A Plus!): - Experience working directly for a regional utility company. - An advanced degree in Science, Management, or Business. - Experience in planning and delivering power transmission, fossil fuel, and/or renewable energy projects. - Understanding of power industry regulations and agencies. - Demonstrated ability to thrive in a seller/doer role, balancing business development with project execution. The salary for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for annual discretionary bonuses based on performance.
