Role Description The Solutions Architect will serve as the technical lead for designing, developing, and implementing advanced mission-critical solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD), allied defense agencies, and commercial industry partners. This role combines deep technical expertise with a strategic understanding of both defense and commercial tech-based mission requirements, ensuring system architectures meet stringent performance, security, and compliance standards while aligning with customer objectives. The Solutions Architect will collaborate closely with program managers, system engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and customer stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions across command-and-control systems, data analytics platforms, AI/ML-enabled capabilities, and next-generation defense and commercial technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Solution Design & Architecture: - Develop enterprise-level solution architectures for defense systems, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with DoD and federal standards (e.g., NIST, RMF, Zero Trust). - Translate complex operational requirements into actionable technical designs, diagrams, and system specifications. - Technical Leadership & Collaboration: - Serve as the primary technical interface between internal engineering teams, business development, and customer stakeholders. - Guide development teams through system implementation, integration, and testing phases. - Proposal & Business Development Support: - Support capture and proposal efforts by defining technical approaches, creating architecture diagrams, and developing cost-effective solutions. - Contribute to technical volumes for RFPs/RFIs and present solutions to defense customers as needed. - Technology Integration & Innovation: - Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, cloud-native systems, edge computing, C5ISR systems) for defense applications. - Lead prototyping and proof-of-concept activities to validate architectural designs. - Compliance & Security: - Ensure all solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity requirements, export control regulations, and industry best practices. - Support accreditation efforts such as ATO (Authority to Operate) processes. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred). - 8+ years of experience in systems architecture, solutions engineering, or related roles within the defense or aerospace sectors. - Demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions aligned with DoD or federal frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST, Zero Trust). - Expertise in one or more of the following: cloud architectures (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government), AI/ML platforms, C5ISR systems, cybersecurity architectures, or mission systems integration. - Strong understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle, MIL-STDs, and system interoperability requirements. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to brief senior leaders and technical audiences. • Work directly with our go-to-market teams to showcase the value of Deel’s Global Payroll Platform to deliver technical wins. • Consult with prospective customers to assess their current payroll practices and identify areas for improvement & optimisation. • Act as the technical voice during sales cycles — owning solution discovery, RFP responses, platform demonstrations & integration workshops. • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations to advocate for prospect needs, accelerate deal velocity, & refine value messaging. • Constructive disruption - challenge the status quo, always looking for opportunities to scale, improve & refine. • Stay up-to-date on global payroll legislation, trends, and best practices to continuously improve service offerings & maintain industry expertise. • Support Partnership & Marketing led initiatives

• Own the onboarding, implementation, and technical deployment of Stratus for new electrical contractor customers. • Lead the full onboarding lifecycle: environment setup, configuration, data ingestion, permissions, integrations, and workflow design. • Run implementation project plans including discovery, milestones, customer training, and go-live readiness. • Deliver engaging onboarding sessions tailored to electrical contractor stakeholders — including field crews, prefab shops, VDC teams, project managers, and estimators. • Troubleshoot configuration issues, work closely with engineering when needed, and translate technical concepts for end users. • Validate alignment between delivered workflows and the pre-sales plan. • Apply firsthand knowledge of electrical contracting workflows to configure Stratus in ways that reflect how electrical teams actually work. • Partner with CSMs on post-go-live handoff and ensure customers ramp quickly. • Provide product feedback based on customer onboarding issues, gaps, and patterns — with a particular focus on the electrical segment.
