Backend Software Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. • Contribute to API development and internal service architecture. • Write clean, well-structured, maintainable, and testable production code. • Build and maintain automated legal and financial document workflows. • Implement structured business logic with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. • Safely evolve existing automation solutions to meet changing client requirements. • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across backend services and automation logic. • Ensure systems and outputs meet stringent correctness and quality standards. • Contribute to basic testing and release confidence practices. • Work closely with senior engineers, legal specialists, and project stakeholders. • Translate functional and regulatory requirements into technical solutions. • Operate effectively within a global, distributed working environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional backend development experience working with production systems.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands‑on backend development experience using Node.js.
- Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming principles.
- Experience developing and maintaining server‑side logic, APIs, and backend services.
- Familiarity with Git‑based workflows, debugging practices, and basic testing frameworks.
- Ability to work with structured business logic where accuracy and consistency are critical.
- Fluent English (written and spoken), with confidence collaborating in a global, distributed team (CEFR C2 / IELTS >7.0 / TOEFL iBT >100 or equivalent).
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 09:30–18:30 BRT.
