• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Python 3.11 using Django / DRF • Lead technical initiatives across payments infrastructure and integrations • Drive improvements in system reliability, observability, and operational excellence • Work closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, and external partners • Investigate production issues and identify root causes rather than temporary fixes • Improve legacy systems and reduce technical debt • Lead architectural discussions and technical decision-making • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance • Take ownership of delivery, planning, and execution of complex projects • Help grow and develop the engineering team

• Plan and run UX research for key initiatives — concept tests, prototype tests, usability studies, and journey-level research, with a strong focus on testing important flows and concepts before development • Set the evidence bar for design work — define what "good enough evidence" looks like and ensure significant design decisions and launches are informed by research • Build a lightweight research operating mode l — establish recruitment, screening, consent, interview guides, templates, repositories, and ways of working that scale without becoming heavy process • Run post-release UX checks — evaluate key customer journeys after launch to assess task success, comprehension, usability, and friction, and feed findings back into the design process • Maintain a high standard of research quality — identify weak or biased research, challenge unsupported conclusions, and be transparent about what evidence does and does not support • Partner across the company on research quality — advise on customer and market research run by Marketing, Product, and Compliance teams, and help define shared evidence standards • Own the research toolset — select, implement, and maintain the tools, repository, and workflows needed to support an effective UX research practice • Use AI in research workflows — actively apply AI to improve transcription, synthesis, analysis, and reporting while maintaining research quality and rigour

• Managing and developing the design team — running structured 1:1s, setting goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting career development for designers across product and marketing streams • Driving practical adoption of AI across the team — identifying tools, introducing them into workflows, and ensuring they are used to improve output rather than as isolated experiments • Hiring as the team grows — defining requirements, running interviews, onboarding new hires • Running usability tests and user research — using existing tools and processes to test designs, gather evidence, and feed findings into prioritisation and design decisions • Owning design delivery and SLAs — defining intake processes, setting tiered turnaround SLAs, tracking on-time delivery, and measuring stakeholder satisfaction with design as a function • Working closely with Product and Marketing to shape work early, clarify requirements, and align on outcomes • Governing design quality — reviewing the team's output, maintaining quality standards and review gates, ensuring consistency across product and brand without carrying individual design work • Building on and scaling the team's existing processes, visibility, and ways of working as we grow • Scaling the design system — driving adoption across designers and engineers, tracking component reuse, identifying gaps, and ensuring the system accelerates delivery • Helping marketing designers produce stronger, more effective work by shaping briefs and direction

• Supporting customers with onboarding and information requests by communicating effectively in a professional manner • Performing Account Opening and Closing processing, including ISA Transfers • Supporting other client communication channels, like our Forum and social media • Knowledgeable about our service and able to explain that to customers in a simple but accurate way • Managing workflow queues and mailboxes • Undertaking prompt and appropriate action to address complaints • Working collaboratively with departments across the business • Ensuring that all client-service-related activities are fully in compliance with the processes and procedures for the firm's AML and KYC obligations • Understanding the regulatory requirements relating to Financial Crime, Advice, Complaints, and Treating Customers Fairly
