The Clinical Practice Consultant is a direct, provider-facing role, focused on improving clinical quality outcomes through measure specific initiatives and provider engagement. This role partners with providers and internal teams to support continuous quality improvement, including provider education, quality performance monitoring, medical record review, and collaboration across clinical and operational teams to improve outcomes and meet contractual and regulatory requirements. This position specializes in EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment) and pediatric preventive care programs, working with providers and Health Plan staff to improve child wellness, close care gaps, and increase performance on state‑specific pediatric quality measures. The Clinical Practice Consultant supports the Medicaid pediatric population by coordinating, tracking, and improving compliance with EPSDT requirements in alignment with Washington State Medicaid (Apple Health) and federal guidelines. The role works closely with providers, clinical teams, quality, analytics, and community partners to identify gaps in care, monitor EPSDT performance, and address barriers to care. This position integrates clinical knowledge, data review, and collaborative problem‑solving to improve health outcomes for children and adolescents. Up to 50%25 anticipated travel throughout Washington State. If you are located in Washington State, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: - Support EPSDT program activities and compliance with Washington Medicaid and federal EPSDT requirements through strategic partnerships with participating practitioners and practice staff while assessing trends in quality measures and identifying opportunities for quality improvement - Educates providers and office staff on proper clinical documentation, state-mandated quality metrics specifications, provider profiling and pay for performance measurement, and medical record review criteria, to drive quality improvement - Advise providers on state‑specific EPSDT periodicity schedules, documentation expectations, and compliance considerations - Participates, coordinates, and/or represents the Health Plan at community-based organization events, clinic days, health department meetings, and other outreach events focused on quality improvement, member health education, and disparity programs as assigned - Track EPSDT screenings, well-child visits, and follow-up services. Review claims, encounter data, registries, and supplemental sources for accuracy and gaps. Your responsibilities will include: - Responsible for the designated territory sales of the Hepatic Artery Infusion (HAI) pump and infusion accessories - Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans at existing and onboarding accounts to effectively promote HAI therapy. - Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly territory quota attainment. - Develop deep understanding of clinical data supporting HAI therapy and the HAI pump and communicate effectively with target customers, stakeholders, and referring physicians. - In collaboration with the HAI Specialist, serve as an HAI expert by providing clinical, product, and technical assistance and training to physicians, infusion staff, the surgical team, nuclear med/IR, and health care providers supporting HAI therapy. - Ownership of existing and onboarding HAI centers including establishing relationships with key HAI champions (Surgical and Medical Oncologists) - Support pump implant procedures in the operating room, coordinating with HAI Specialist to ensure case coverage.
