The Construction Project Manager has the ultimate responsibility for the project coordination, meeting project timelines, project tracking and reporting. This is a full-time, remote opportunity. Responsibilities - Review and fully understand the requirements of each project. - Create and execute project work plans, schedules, as well as identifying and acquiring resources needed for prosecution of the project(s) - Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project to ensure on-time and under budget project completion. - Manage the decisions on the scope and delivery of the project including serving as a technical expert in interpreting the specification of the project. - Communicate requirements and specifications to contractors and assist with any questions related to the technology, equipment, and design requirements. - Serve as the project spokesperson, when necessary, by developing relationships and facilitating communication, updates, and meetings with internal and external resources. - Ensure contract, permit and authorization compliance, as applicable. - Maintain day-to-day communication with the Director of Construction and other organization management. - Represent Omni Fiber professionally to satisfy immediate customer needs and to foster return business - Respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions. - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public. - Maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance according to company policies. - Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role and those of the project team. - Adhere to company policies, regulations, procedures, and principles. - Some travel required for field work and office meetings, possible overnight stays depending on location. - Need to have flexibility with hours and be able to work CST hours. Qualifications - BS/BA degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or civil engineering preferred or equivalent in experience. - Strong knowledge of Telecom construction and engineering, project budget creation and management, project scheduling and tracking, project finance, cost reporting, and field office operations - Solid business acumen and experience in managing large telecom construction projects. - Telecommunications OSP design and construction experience - Must be able to travel to our construction sites and offices as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Sr. Project Manager (SPM) will own the assigned projects in all aspects (planning, scheduling, budgets, billing, deliverables) and will lead them according to the documented Company Project Management Framework. The SPM will be responsible for a number of many projects at any given time. In addition, the SPM will build effective relationships with a diverse group of professionals (engineers, customers, IT Directors/VP’s, C-Level Executives, Sales Account Managers, operations personnel, etc.) both internally and externally. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - General: - Create project plan/schedule per defined objectives and scope in the statement of work (SOW) – May also be tasked with assisting in developing SOW’s. - Responsible for identifying all processes and deliverables related to the project and incorporating them into the project plan. - Ensure client organization buy-in and approval of the project plan/schedule. - Create and maintain project budget as defined by SOW or client. - Ensure that all proposed options, risks (with mitigation strategies), and proposals are comprehensive and accurate prior to review with Project Owner and stakeholders. - Serve as the primary point of escalation for all project-related issues. - Responsible for all Company project specific communications to stakeholders. - Manage and track all project-related costs, facilitate development of all project related SOWs, and obtain organization funding approvals. - Responsible for project-related vendor management. - Responsible for creating and updating all project deliverables on all assigned projects. - Develop solutions for project issues and effectively communicate solutions to all internal and external stakeholders. - Demonstrate ability to partner with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Finance teams to track and maintain the financial health of assigned projects, including billings. - Develop relationships with project teams, customers, and assist with the identification of additional Advanced Services and other Sales opportunities within the assigned customer’s environment. - Monitor for project scope creep and initiate an effective Project change request process as appropriate. - Maintain finances and status updates within NetSuite (ERP) for assigned projects. - Create a detailed project plan with the internal team members prior to the kickoff meeting with the customer in order to set the project baseline & budget. - Proactively notify the team of any new problem, issue, concern, risk, or escalation on assigned projects. - Responsible for learning the basic technical information for the major manufacturer technologies, in order to better understand the projects. - May perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor. - Weekly: - Responsible for the daily management of project schedule and assigned project resources – Also accountable for the effectiveness of all assigned project resources. - Responsible to ensure that all Project Management hours for assigned projects are accurately entered into NetSuite on a weekly basis. - Responsible for reminding all engineers on assigned projects to enter their project work hours accurately into NetSuite on a timely basis for project budget tracking purposes. - Responsible for approving engineering hours in NetSuite for assigned projects. - Responsible for leading weekly project meetings on assigned projects and publishing the meeting minutes to the project team and stakeholders. - Responsible for updating project budget and billing status on a frequent basis.
