• Designing, improving, and maintaining key parts of the MediaWiki stack; • Driving technical quality and operational excellence by defining and reinforcing standards in testing, observability, and system reliability; • Comfortably and autonomously creating proofs of concept, writing design documents, and breaking down complex projects into actionable tasks to support less experienced team members; • Developing and improving shared capabilities (e.g., authentication, caching, rate limiting) that enable other teams to build efficiently and consistently; • Championing key product metrics by focusing on measurable outcomes that guide our decisions and help us to evaluate success; • Leading by example in code review, decision-making, and team culture - fostering transparency, empathy, and collaboration; • Improving and automating processes for identifying, tracking, and resolving production issues; • Collaborating with the Product team and the community to ensure technical solutions align with WMF strategy, feature teams and volunteer contributor needs; • Coaching and mentoring teammates to support continuous growth and confidence in both technical and interpersonal skills.

• Help internal engineers release their software onto our infrastructure • Lead automation of the release processes • Maintain, improve and extend existing platform tools • Involved in choosing project focus and sunsetting obsolete systems • Partake in on-call rotations to support Platform tooling

• Be the technical lead and owner for key products of our core backend applications. • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback. • Find optimizations in current applications, implement best practices, and ensure adherence to coding standards. • Design and enhance both new and existing services. • Work with globally distributed data. • Participate in discussions and create and review architectural diagrams. • Have a deep understanding of high-traffic, client-facing APIs and networking topology.

• Develop and modify embedded software for automotive ECUs within defined scope. • Implement and maintain AUTOSAR Classic software components (SWCs). • Configure and use AUTOSAR stacks and RTE at a basic to intermediate level. • Contribute to ADAS-related software development, including sensor-based features (camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic). • Perform hands-on debugging, defect fixing, and basic root-cause analysis. • Execute unit testing and integration testing according to project guidelines. • Produce and maintain required ASPICE-compliant documentation. • Use version control systems (e.g., Git) following defined workflows. • Collaborate effectively with team members across software, testing, and system roles.
