Accounting Policy Expert

• Handling complex, non-standard accounting and financial reporting issues • Analyzing and assessing matters in accordance with IFRS, the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR), and other regulatory requirements • Providing technical support to internal stakeholders such as Accounting & Reporting, Cost Controlling, and other departments • Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for balance sheet and accounting-specific topics • Responsibility for the IAS 19 process • Contributing to ad-hoc analyses, opinions, and decision-making documentation within ongoing projects • Close collaboration with the accounting and reporting teams and contributing to the quality assurance and consistency of accounting

Job Requirements

  • Completed university degree or qualification as a Swiss Certified Public Accountant (eidg. dipl. Wirtschaftsprüfer / Swiss CPA)
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and a strong affinity for accounting and regulatory topics
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, systemic mindset
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and translate them into well-founded, comprehensible assessments
  • Professional experience in the insurance industry
  • Experience in an international corporate environment is an advantage
  • Desirable: background at a Big Four firm
  • Strong SAP skills and confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • High degree of independence, sense of responsibility, and professional demeanor
  • Communicative, team-oriented personality with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
