Role Description Hanger, Inc. is seeking a senior, hands-on HCM Advisor to support our Human Capital Management (HCM) systems and processes. This role plays a key executional role in the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of our HCM platform, with a strong focus on technical configuration, data management, and workflow enhancements. The ideal candidate brings deep functional and technical expertise in HCM systems and a collaborative mindset to drive operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. This role partners closely with the Senior HCM Advisor and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. Your Impact Implementation Phase - Configure Fast Formulas to support in-scope HCM modules (Core HR, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Payroll, Absence Management, Time & Labor). - Configure and support integrations with internal and third-party systems for in-scope HCM modules. - Develop reports and data extract solutions to support smooth data conversion and accurate reporting for in-scope HCM modules. - Configure organizational structures within the HCM system. - Support payroll audit, reconciliation and parallel testing activities. - Configure workflows to streamline approvals and notifications across HR processes. - Execute system configuration activities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance standards. - Support release management, including testing, documentation, and deployment coordination. Post-Implementation Support - Provide ongoing technical support for the HCM application, including troubleshooting, enhancement and updates, patching, and user support. - Support the creation and tracking of Service Requests (SRs) for system issues and enhancements. - Maintain documentation including configuration workbooks, technical designs, and support procedures. - Maintain and optimize workflow configurations to adapt to evolving business needs. - Maintain Fast Formulas, reports, integrations, and workflows. - Develop data extract routines for audits, analytics, and operational reporting. - Participate in release management cycles, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. - Support incremental system configuration updates and deployment of new technical objects in response to policy changes or process improvements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. - At least 12+ years of experience in systems with an emphasis on HR technologies (e.g., Oracle HCM Cloud, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors). - Proven experience in HCM configuration, workflow design, reports, integrations and data management. - Advanced proficiency in SQL, and other Fusion tools required to design, develop and deploy scalable technical solutions. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. - Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and adopt new technologies and respond effectively to evolving business needs. - Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures. Requirements - Excellent communication skills, with experience executing technical solutions to drive business outcomes. - Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion) architecture and configuration, with a strong understanding of end-to-end HCM data models, employee lifecycle events and effective dating. - Deep expertise in one or more Oracle HCM Cloud modules, with working knowledge across Core HR, Recruiting, Talent, Absence, Time & Labor, Compensation, and/or Payroll modules. - Demonstrated experience with Fast Formulas, configuration of eligibility profiles and rules, lookups, value sets, DFFs/EFFs, Actions & Reasons, approval and security profiles. - Experience with data conversions and ongoing data loads, mass updates and bulk corrections (e.g., to support reorganizations), error handling, HDL/HSDL development and execution. - OTBI/BI Publisher reports, including XML; experience supporting Workforce analytics, compliance, audit, and reconciliation reporting. - Knowledge of BPM workflow configuration, approval routing, Oracle Journeys configuration and task orchestration, notification and alert framework setup. - Experience supporting inbound and outbound integrations (HCM Extracts, REST/SOAP APIs, file-based loads), with an understanding of Oracle HCM integration patterns and middleware concepts; skilled in troubleshooting integration and data interface issues. - Understanding of role-based security design, including roles, privileges, data security policies, and access controls. - Provide production support, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis, with the ability to drive resolution across configuration, data, integrations, and security layers. - Strong command of release management processes, participation in quarterly update readiness, regression test planning, and testing procedures. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently. - Customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude. - Knowledge of Oracle Redwood UI design framework is highly preferred. - Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships. - Keep the patient at the center of everything that you do, building lifelong trust. - Foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue with everyone around you. - Continuously innovate new solutions, influencing and responding to change. - Focus on superior outcomes, and calibrate work processes for outstanding results. This role will report directly to the Lead Director, Architecture – Apptio and collaborate closely with IT leaders, Finance, Accounting, and data engineering teams. Responsibilities Architecture, Modeling & Platform Ownership - Design, build, and maintain the Technology Business Management (TBM) model within Apptio across Cost Pools, Towers, Services, and Modules. - Develop and optimize allocation rules, cost models, and reporting structures to support transparency and insights into IT cost and consumption. - Partner with the Lead Director to execute the Apptio strategic roadmap and deliver platform enhancements aligned with TBM maturity goals. - Configure, test, and deploy new features, integrations, and automation opportunities across Apptio modules (Cost Transparency, IT Planning, Cloudability, etc.). - Support data connectivity through APIs and Apptio-integrated tools; develop integrations and modeling across large and complex datasets. Operational Excellence & Production Support - Execute monthly operational processes in Apptio, including data loads, model refreshes, troubleshooting, and validation routines. - Maintain reference data, mapping structures, and allocation logic; investigate and resolve data integrity issues. - Support the monthly forecast cycle, annual planning cycle, and dashboard reporting in partnership with Finance and IT Business Management. - Contribute to the governance of Apptio change management, including documenting requirements, test plans, release notes, and user training materials. Analysis & Reporting - Build and maintain Apptio reports, dashboards, and analytics for IT, Finance, and leadership consumers. - Provide insights into cost drivers, consumption patterns, variances, and optimization opportunities. - Translate business requirements into technical configurations and Apptio model changes. Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience working with Apptio as a system administrator, modeler, or TBM technical specialist. - 10+ years of experience in Technology Business Management, IT finance, financial analysis, or related roles. - Deep understanding of Apptio Cost Transparency, TBM Studio, and Cloudability. - Strong knowledge of the TBM Taxonomy and IT financial management concepts (cost allocations, budgeting, forecasting, chargebacks, Opex/Capex, unit cost modeling). - Experience working with data integrations, APIs, large datasets, and technical troubleshooting. - Strong analytical, data-driven, and detail-oriented mindset. - Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and Apptio configurations. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working with IT, Finance, and operational teams. - Experience supporting planning and forecasting processes in Apptio Planning or similar FP&A tools. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $106,605.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
