Empower
• Lead and manage a team of technology risk professionals responsible for AI/ML and emerging technology risk oversight • Establish and maintain risk governance, standards, and control frameworks for Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions • Provide risk review and challenge of AI/ML model design, development, validation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring • Partner with data science, engineering, and business teams to embed effective risk controls throughout the AI/ML lifecycle • Oversee risk assessments, control testing, issue management, and remediation activities related to AI and advanced analytics • Evaluate and manage third-party and vendor risks associated with AI platforms, tools, and data sources • Translate complex technical and model risks into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders and governance forums • Monitor emerging regulatory guidance, industry standards, and best practices related to AI and model risk management • Prepare and present risk reporting, metrics, and recommendations to leadership and risk committee • Direct supervision of Sr Analysts and Analysts in Technology Risk • Responsible for performance management, hiring, coaching, and development of team members
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Data Science, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, MBA, or related discipline)
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities
- Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, model training, validation, and deployment
- Knowledge of Responsible AI principles, model risk management, and data governance
- Ability to assess and challenge complex technical risks with sound judgment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly evolving technology environments
