Technical Artist

Streamline Studios

• Reporting to the Creative Director. • Help us unite our art and development into fantastic, compelling experiences. • Delivering excellence Help define the technical quality standards, overseeing the development of art pipelines • Contribute to the development of artistic techniques and processes utilized to define and achieve a product's visual style and encourage artistic technical evolution within the studio • Provides input on the technical methods to achieve the artistic goals and vision through all phases of the game development cycle • Create tools and processes that assist in authoring environment art, VFX, destruction simulations, animation, lighting, and post-process effects • Create and maintain technical documentation • Able to independently tackle technical tasks with close to no supervision • Assist in the technical evaluation of new incoming project • Communicates regularly with the Creative Director & Producer regarding the status of current project milestones and initiatives • Stays current on industry-standard content creation tools and techniques • Work with other tech artists/engineers to identify and implement art-pipeline optimizations and to create technical benchmarks to be used in production • Guide other art team members in solving day-by-day production issues • Assist in game profiling and generating report to help content creators get their assets within budget

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with game engines (e.g. UE5, Unity3D, etc.)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills catering to engineers and artists as needed
  • Thorough knowledge of content creation tools with the ability to create both content and tools to expedite content creation, these can include Photoshop, Maya, Max, Houdini, Substance Designer, etc.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to break down tasks and assignments and prioritize them into workable pieces on a daily, weekly basis

We are seeking a 3D Prop Artist to lead outsourced asset production and oversee the translation of large manufacturer product libraries into high-quality, optimized, production-ready 3D assets. What You'll Do You will help scale our visualization capabilities by establishing clear asset standards, building efficient prop pipelines, and ensuring consistent quality across both internal and external production. Expect to: - Lead outsourced prop production, including vendor selection, briefing, quality control, and continuous improvement of workflows - Translate large manufacturer product catalogs into efficient, standardized, high-quality 3D prop libraries - Define and enforce asset standards for modeling, UVs, materials, naming conventions, LODs, and optimization - Create and refine photo-realistic 3D props and materials that meet both artistic and technical requirements - Build scalable pipelines for asset ingestion, review, iteration, and deployment into a custom web based platform and the Unreal Engine - Partner with internal visualization, engineering, and product teams to ensure assets integrate cleanly into production environments - Identify automation opportunities and leverage AI-assisted workflows to improve velocity without sacrificing quality About You You're a systems thinker brings strong game development experience, has shipped major projects, and understands how to turn real-world products into performant, reusable digital assets at scale.
